I received the same e-mail...:( I ordered it the first day it was available, what a disappointment! I knew I would get it later than most cause I do live quite far away but anyways, now the delivery date has been pushed even further away. They had months to sort this thing out!

I think they'll arrive before christmas depending on where you are in the world. The e-mail was specific in saying that all are hoping to be despatched on the 16th for delivery on the 19th-ish. that's what I got from it anyway.
