ColdplayFilm - MX Live DVD

Featured Replies

If anything, recording a DVD increases the chances of an EP as it may well feature live songs, as sort of a Prospekt-LeftRightLeft hybrid.

I love the speculations about this. Fact is that I really can't wait for this thing to be released!

Oh yeeeeah :awesome:

Can't wait for this to be released!!! I really like the live versions of a lot of the MX songs better than the studio versions.

In my dreams they are still planning to release a Viva DVD from Wemble y or Barcelona. GOD we need a DVD recording of the song DAAHF. My fav song.

Anyway I hope DLIBYH will be on the new DVD.

It's a shame the Australian tours will be so late in the year that they can't do it here again :(

I've been to Barcelona concert in 2009. At the fence of the stadium it was written that this show was suppossed to be recorded for dvd. Does anyone know what happened with that recording and why it hasn't been published ?

May they will release double DVD with concerts from MX And VLV Tour. Who knows. I hope they are going to do it.

how bout a concert in barcelona too?? :P but I love this idea of a new live DVD... saw the untagged project... amazing :D

Will this be another one of the those releases just before Christmas then shown on TV on Boxing Day!?

Just announced by PH on Twitter!

I think that they should have released a live DVD for every promotional world tour association with each album release. I'm so glad as someone who has attended almost all their Southern California concert appearances I know a live DVD film would be a wonderful way to relive that. Luv it kudos to the marketing or management team that suggested that idea.

WARSAW POLAND

Warsaw must be the place to film :)

New stadium, warm crowd, almost end of the tour :)

BTW what happened to Barcelona 2009... the show was crap, hate to say it, band didn't deliver crowd also, and there where many technical issues.

Wembley 2009 was also filmed... and nothing...

and the Toronto 2006 still unrealeased, many $$$$$ missing from Coldplay's accounts ;)

Has to be the Stadium of Light, Sunderland. First time Coldplay have played in the City, and in front of the best most friendly people ;)

Best thing that any artist can do, and many have done, is to record more than one concert and then choose the best performances.. put it together like its one show. Tada: here we have the perfect live dvd.

Chris always makes at least one (noticable) mistake at a concert. I don't think he will be too happy if that would be on a live dvd.

Warsaw would be a great place to film it, and I feel that combining concerts would take away from the authenticity. Not to toot my city's horn, but Chicago has been known to be one of the greater places with amazing crowds, and lots of artists have recorded live at the venues/festivals there. Anyone remember LiTii live? or Lolla?

I really hope they leave it on one show. It would spoil it completely for me if it was a montage.

WARSAW!

Toronto was great!

I agree with you, that WARSAW is the perfect place to film MX Film

I think the best thing to do would be to pick a city where they play two shows, and then if Chris makes a mistake, they can just edit in that same song from the night before... :)

this would make sense, but no 2 shows are ever the same... and again, it takes away from the authenticity of it being a recorded concert...

I agree on the authenticity bit, which is unfortunate...

However, Coldplay shows are generally rather identical, so I don't think that it would be that much of an issue.

But if they are well edited, it's very hard to see it's two different shows. Have you seen The Killers at the Royal Albert Hall? If it wasn't for the big signs people at the front row had, I would have never guessed it was two different shows.
