Thanks, i thought it's a bar or something like that.

me too until I googled it lol

interesting that this person is involved in music....

I'm just waiting to see, if they still manage to come out with something new. I remember them saying very often "We don't want to repeat ourselves at all." and that's something which makes good artist these days. I'm very much appreciating that they have stayed out of comfort zone for a long time and always evolved their sound. I think that X&Y for them was pretty much staying in comfort zone and that's why they don't seem so happy about it. But this time i see them very much mixing their past sounds and good things of each album rather than coming up with something totally new and different. So if it will be a mix of all good things of each era, it will be good. But still if they manage to come up with something different, it will be their most interesting record.

really?

Its just a black shirt hahaha

Coldplay, we can't wait for A Head Full Of Dreams!!!!! :laugh3:

Its just a black shirt hahaha

Chris usually wears that greyish blue jacket which looks a lot like this one

And here we go again... After 10 months of complaining about not having any news, now it's time for " complaining about the new album / single" we don't know sh*t about ! Are you guys seriously judging something that's not even released ?

Honestly, it's like saying " what an ugly baby" to a 5 months pregnant woman !

Yeah, well put, don't understand what there is to really complain about yet.. Like being sad about a birthday present by seeing the package

That's exactly my fear. To their credit, they do always try to evolve their sound. I may not always agree with their experimental directions but applaud them for it all the same, but at this stage it seems they have exhausted all potential avenues for development. I mean they are 6 albums in- They have perfected the acoustic, soft rock sound with Parachutes. They released a perfect rock album, they did the existential space rock stuff with X&Y, Art Rock with Viva, A pop album with MX and an ambient-synth pop album with GS, I mean what's next a reggae album? I think you're right to a degree when you say it'll be a fusion of previous records (most prominently the last two) We can even guess that based on the few photos we have seen. It'll be interesting to hear but I'd much prefer them just to go back to their core, original sound at this stage as that is what they are most known and beloved for and will probably come a lot more naturally than trying to be unique for uniqueness sake. Ah, a man can dream for LP8

My point is that even if the shirt is similar its to soon to assume that it is MX2.0 Viva was colourful too, of course not like mx, a head will be colourful as well but with its own aspects. Just because its colorful doesn't mean that is MX all over again, and I agree with some of you here, Coldplay never repeat themselves 100%, the sound always have some new vibes. Viva for me was the best colorful era haha. But my favorite album is a rush blood. Actually A rush, x&y and viva are strong almost in the same way haha. A rush > x&y =~ viva haha

Why so much unnatural "fear" by so many. Step back...enjoy the band. Your alternative is to realize that the band never HAD to have existed in the first place. This is all just a matter of bonus material to our everyday lives so might as well accept what they have to offer and be satisfied. There are worse things to have to "deal with".

Absolutely. I get away from the stress and worry of life by worrying about my favourite band. It's great escapism to be honest ;)

Well put!! And, cmon guys, we're all here because we really like Coldplay, so deep down we all must at least like MX and GS, it just doesnt show as much with some.

It's my escape too haha! ;)

No one has like MX or GS,even a die-hard fan.

To me, there are big differences. The Mylo songs are in fact GREAT live songs while the production on the record is way to polished and overproduced.

Ghost Stories is more like an Chris Martin-EP to me, even if it is a Coldplay record, with Midnight as a real standout song. But i dont like most of them being played live, except Midnight and O.

This is exactly right. Hit the nail on the head.

I mean, a lot of us joined the forums before those two albums were released. I joined because of Viva (which wound up becoming my favorite album of all time), and, because I loved Viva so much I stuck around for MX because I wanted to see the guys "do it again." The same thing applies with GS and now AHFoD. I don't particularly care for either MX or GS, but the hope that the guys will someday come around and release another of my future-favorite albums makes me stick around.

And you can be a fan of someone and not necessarily like everything they put out

EDIT: Ronnie ninja'd me

Yeah I admit they're not perfect, but still better than most stuff.

Anyway, not going to continue this argument that has happened a hundred times on this thread

Its not about continuing or not. The MX comparison especially will grow stronger day by day we get news. But im prepared for

Can't wait to hear more about the video!!! I can see it will be really funny and uplifting :D

I love Ghost Stories, btw :dazzled:

It was time to do so once again, dear :laugh3::kiss:

No one has like[d] MX or GS,even a die-hard fan.

Okay just a little bit of continuing because I see you edited your post.

That's going a bit too far

Unless you mean "no one has to like..." because I get that....not trying to force anything

Does anybody else think we could get the audio before next Friday?

Or are they going to wait and release the video first

OMG.

I thought about something really funny :laugh3:

On the pictures we have seen so far there are a lot of children, not to say "kids".

Any bets on the title of the new song now ?! Maybe, im scared to type it.....

Car Kids

?

:wink3: :D
