I was on my phone a few minutes ago and got the notification that Coldplay uploaded it. I've been fangirling ever since :joy: I wanna know what other Coldplayers think about it!

The song is super atmospheric. Vocals has reverb. Solo is like underwater. I like the keyboard sound in the back at the piano part before the solo. Amazing song. I guess i'm dead.

Same here haha. I'm working and for some reason I kept checking my phone looking for something. Didn't think I would actually see a notification for a new song! I am also subscribed to the Coldplay Daily channel and they use the same profile pic, so I thought it was just the teaser from earlier. Had to do a double take! Work needs to end now! Lol

Just like most of the MX tracks, I prefer the live version more. Bass and guitar solo are classic Coldplay class, thought.

IPretty sure it's going to grow on me just like MX did.

So I work at a school doing tech stuff and had to attend a graduation tonight to work the lights and audio. This has been in the calendar for a few months now, little did I know it was also marking the date for this. I love it when that kind of stuff happens.

Literally sounds exactly the live version. I'm in awe. Such a fucking good track. My God.

I definitely prefer the live version. Too much blurriness in the mix here, weird and slurry effects on Chris's vocals, the epic piano and guitar get drowned in a blurry haze of noise and strings/synths. The "live recording" interjections from Chris (go, J, the counting) also don't quite go with the atmospheric effect, and as has been said before another abrupt ending similar to Birds.

I get that this effect was done on purpose to create a dream-like atmosphere, but I wish they had put the guitar and piano in higher in the mix. Why bury the best parts in a downpour of noise ?

All in all a solid song though, doesn't quite live up to Hypnotised for me.

I agree with I Ran Away. It's a great song, but not quite to the levels of Hypnotized for me. Although, it'll take a lot for them to have a song that reaches beyond Hypnotized for me personally. It's one of my favorite songs of theirs recently.

I was thinking that as well actually, although I don't mind the 'J', but I'd prefer the 1,2,3 wasnt there.

 

Dont mind the mix myself, and I put this above Hypno, but both I rate highly.

Holy smokes what a song

With this kind of production seems to me like a bad attempt to make a dreampop/balearic song.

A decent song anyway, but nothing special, quite generic, I feel it's trying to be bigger than it really is.

I haven't listened to the live version yet, but the studio version it's kinda too muffled (it's the same problem that suffered Up&Up)

Excellent song! Can't wait to hear the whole EP!
