Basically, everyone well not everyone but some people have decided to take vows and to wait 'till the album comes out in their country and even go as far as to not come to visit the forum because it'll spoil the surprise or they'll be too tempted which is fine you know.. each to their own. But for me, one of the reasons that I still come to this forum is to share my Coldplay experiences with other fans and other fans experience share their experiences you know (it's a beautiful thing :P) so with that being said. I am really looking forward to hit that Download link and experience with the rest of you guys here at the forum. Let's celebrate it together and let…

I read from a Taiwan website (hope you guys know where it is on this planet) that there is an "imported deluxe version" and an "imported normal version" for the new album. That website is quite reliable as it has close connections to the record companies there. Did anyone hear about this too? Can someone comfim it? FYI, if you can read them: http://www.5music.com.tw/CDList-C.asp?cdno=429425679169 http://www.5music.com.tw/CDList-C.asp?cdno=429425679170 Cheers.

I've seen a lot of complaining from people in other parts of the world about having to wait until the 11th of June for the new album VLVODAAHF, and I think they should stop because we get it last! For the true fans that won't listen to leaks and want to actually buy the abum, we have to wait 6 more days than some other people. Also, what's it going to be like for us on this site? For those 6 days, everyone will be discussing an album we still won't have heard! I'm going to have to stay away from this site for 6 days to avoid spoilers, I want to experience everything for myself. This is all just driving me crazy and I wanted to know if there were any other Americans he…

Oh Coldplay. You have written some of the most beautiful songs in decades, your live show is beyond energetic, and you say your songs are meant to be sung to the rafters. I love this band, but to be completely honest (judging their twisted logic tour), going to your concerts aren't worth the money I'm paying. Hear me out here. My opinion is that if I'm paying 50+ dollars to see Coldplay perform, they should play for more than an hour and a half. I think it's very unfair to us, the fans. Guys like the Foo Fighters, U2, and even 65 year old Paul McCartney charge around the same prices for tickets, but the difference is they'll play for 2 and a half hours. Now THAT's a sho…

COLD SPELL AHEAD After rumours of splits and strange musical experiments, Coldplay have ended their silence with a new album, produced by Brian Eno. Neil McCormick reports. __________________________________ After an absence of two years, during which their record company, EMI, has changed hands and the future of the mainstream commercial music business has been cast into doubt, the biggest-selling rock band of the 21st century have returned to the fray. Coldplay came in from the cold last month with a free digital download single, Violet Hill. Amid rumours that the group had forsaken populism for high-minded artistic experimentation, the wobbly synths that intr…

i have been a huge coldplay fan for a long time however i am fairly new to the message boards. i have read quite a few times that fans here didnt like X&Y all that much and i was just curious as to why that is? i thought the cd was great and i also loved seeing them perform the songs live, twice. maybe it is not the general opnion here so i thought i would ask.

I didn't know what to call this thread but GUH...I love Coldplay so much don't get me wrong but the new clothing they've been sporting makes them seem so...pretentious. Why can't they just wear normal clothing instead of dressing for each album? It just seems so contrived.

Okay, now I'm still relatively new to this forum, so I don't know if there's any threads about the best Coldplay music videos, but if there isn't, maybe this can serve the discussion. The main reason I wanna do this is because I wouldn't have met Coldplay when I did if it wasn't for The Scientist music video. That is easily my favorite. I like how it tells a story, its unconventional nature and just the whole feeling you get while watching it. I do wonder if anyone else saw the error in it though, where the glass from the car goes back into the windshield, and its shown fixed, and then they show the car flipping backwards and the glass is broken or not there entirel…

Chris Martin, axman? No, the Coldplay frontman is not pulling a Dave Grohl and giving up his favorite instrument, but he is gearing up for some serious guitar shredding ― on a videogame console near you. “[‘Violet Hill’] is the first Coldplay song to be put on 'Guitar Hero,'” Martin bragged to EW on a recent visit to the band's London studio. And unlike much of their lulling repertoire, he cracks, “It’s not [all] about the piano s---.” The downloadable track will be part of a massive publicity rollout for Coldplay’s new album, Viva La Vida (out June 17), which includes a performance on the 2008 MTV Movie Awards (airing June 1) and free concerts in London (Jun…

From this month's GQ cover story on Gwyneth, "There's an auntie coming for lunch, whom Martin will accompany to White Hart Lane to watch Tottenham beat West Ham 4-0. "Tottenham" (Gwyneth) says, "that's Spurs, right?"" Maybe I'm a bit too excited about two of my favorite things being mentioned in the same sentence, but I read Jonny's a big fan somewhere. The article is a decent read, what with the Simon Pegg and Apple story thats been mentioned before, and its always funny to see a fellow American talking about football.

http://nymag.com/daily/entertainment/2008/05/first_review_of_new_coldplay_a.html Are these guys jerks or what! They have taken a simple review and turned it into another vehical to bash Coldplay and their significance as a great musical act. I for one am sick of journalists using the popularity of artists to promote their useless rantings.

I noticed at Billboard.com that theres a Billboard cover at the bottom in the magazine section for the next issue with Coldplay gracing it. Looks like they're wearing their new stuff as well. Did everyone know about this already? Dunno if im late.
