Coldplay latest act to freeze out streaming services Coldplay, one of the world's biggest music acts, has declined to offer songs from the company's new album "Mylo Xyloto," to streaming services such as Spotify, Rdio and Rhapsody, multiple sources told CNET. EMI, the band's record label, acknowledged that Coldplay, known for such songs as "Yellow" and "Clocks," will not distribute through streaming services for "Mylo Xyloto," but did not detail the reasons for the decision. So, like many Coldplayers, I have some songs which are by Coldplay, yes, but aren't from any specific album. For example, Nappies or the Christmas Messages. I made up the album 'Unreleased Tracks' to put all of these songs in, as they needed to go somewhere, but I wanted an album art. My friend HandyAndy1.36 stepped in at this point with a solution: He took the original LRLRL album artwork and changed the text to 'Unreleased Tracks' and the hue of the butterfly so that it would not be confused with the actual LRLRL album. I have listened to and enjoyed Coldplay for a long while. Their music has helped me through some tough spots, and has made me truly feel like everything is not lost. I have always wanted to see them live, and I was able to see them 2 summers in a row (2011 and 2012). Needless to say, those night are some of the highlights of my life.
