  2. Holiday fun: Bono and his friend Simon Carmody join teenagers Andrea Feick and Hannah Emerson in St Tropez His humanitarian campaigning has earnt him the nickname St Bono. Off duty, however, the U2 singer seems to have been tempted into a spot of hell-raising. Pictures show the 48-year-old with his arm round two bikini-clad girls as they carouse at a beach bar in St Tropez. He also joined his angel-faced companions for more drinking and dancing aboard a private yacht. Bono is usually seen in his role as rock star, family man and anti-poverty campaigner, work for which he earned an honorary knighthood. Only last week, he appeared at a conference to make a call to ‘cha…

But this is so catchy! Specially here in Brazil, it played ALL THE TIME. 2 - I Will Survive - Gloria Gaynor :D hahaha 3- Promiscuous - Nelly Furtado feat. Timbaland The beat... I don't know... That's something in this song! 4 - Wannabe - Spice Girls ¬¬. 5 - Rich Girl - Gwen Stefani If I was a rich girl... na na na na na na na na .... :laugh3: 6 - Hollaba…

hey guys... i'm a HUGE coldplay fan... but i think the next big group is the flobots. they have a more hip-hop edge along with a violonist and trumpet player. i haven't heard of a sound like them in a while. and their lyrics are amazing. their newest single "rise" talks about what's going on in the world. their first single "handlebars" was on the radio. if you haven't heard them, here's the link for their video "rise" [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H0XmsUlz2hI]YouTube - Flobots - Rise[/ame] let me know what you think PJ UMG

  10. I figured that i'd make a thread in which people can post certain bands that they recommend other people to listen to. I was also thinking about making this thread so, let's say you are into a band and you want to find another band to get into that's similar people can post their recommendations. personally I recommend people to give a listen to The Album Leaf... I've been listening to them alot. also i've been looking to get into some more music, and was looking if anyone has any recommendations. The kinds of band's i'm aiming towards are kind of electronica type music like The Album Leaf/Radiohead/Thom Yorke

This band really caught my attention at Lollapalooza. They had a great time slot early in the day under some shady trees and I sat there enjoying their folksy rock. "Ten Dead Dogs" is a beautiful track that visually captures you. "Aretha's Gold" is another favorite. Go on and check em out. The lead singer has a soothing voice. http://www.myspace.com/wildsweetorange

I was wondering if anyone else has heard of this band. The will be touring with Kanye West and they are releasing a second album shortly. I think they're an awesome band with new sounds and a good set of songs. I can't wait for their next album. http://www.myspace.com/mrhudson

first of all, sorry if a thread like that already is somewhere on the board, mesage for the mods, feel free to move this thread to another sub-forum that will be better in case is on the wrong one. i'd like to ask to all music-lovers here (so all us i guess): when you discover a new band or solo artist (that you've never gave a listen even if they've been working since decades) for a friend advice, you hear them randomly somewhere... 1. do you tend to like most the first works you've heard of them and so the first album you hear of them? 2. do you get to become interested and to know further about their works (previous and newest works, collaborations, other w…

my younger sis introduced me to this band called Charlotte Sometimes.. they have a really cool singer and I dare say 'some depth in their lyrics' hah yes I think this gal and her band are certainly influenced by songwriters like the likes of C Martin... they are opening up for Gavin DeGraw on a national tour and i highly recommend their music to all.. I think their sound is a cross between norah jones and desiree if that sounds accurate :P http://www.myspace.com/charlottesometimes Katie :laugh3: umGD

  20. I thought this would be a cool idea, for Coldplaying to have a definitive list of the community's favorite songs of all time. This is the nominating stage. Rules/Guidelines (please read): -Nominate 20 of YOUR FAVORITE songs - ORDER DOES NOT MATTER -Only 1 song per artist please, if we don't enforce this we'd have like 40 Coldplay songs on the final list ;) -Coldplay IS allowed but like any other artist only one song nomination per coldplayer. -repeat nominating is redundant because the song is already been entered in the competition, so make sure you don't re-nominate songs that have already been nominated... -You MAY *link* your choices to youtube videos so oth…

http://www.bruno-sanfilippo.com/ Is a composer like Enio Morricone, you can appreciate that his compositions can be on historical films. He is argentinian but lives in Barcelona (Spain) since some years, so his music is influenced by african, mediterranean and american (from Los Andes and Patagonia) rithms. His music is very relaxing. Magallanes The New Kingdom Seven Lakes I hope you like it.

Its the album that changed rock and roll history forever. Well not actually. But it did make alot of noise with the pay-what-you want. Since October 10, 2007....the album has been toured around the world, the band have had numerous webcasts, the band have released free videos via a podcast, the band have had two contests to remix Nude and Reckoner. And well its been a boatload of fun. So my questions for the partay: Tell us what your favourite song was the first time you heard the album and what it is a year later. How many times have you listened to it on last.fm? How many times do you estimate you have listened to it over the past year. What ranking is it in term…

As you can see you can now tag threads. This is very useful, particularly in this section. For threads that are about bands and/or artists lets tag them "artist". If it is a poll, tag it "poll" Survivor threads can be tagged "Survivor" Album reviews can be tagged "Review" Personal threads or opinions about artists can be tagged "opinion" Threads where you introduce a new band can also include a "recommended" tag.
