The Lounge

Welcome everyone to the lounge. It's this new concept I've been thinking about and I thought I would put it into action. First of all, think of everyones own threads as their hotel rooms. This thread then, is like the lobby. The main idea is for you to think of "The Lounge" as a soap opera involving the people of the lounge (all you guys who post here religiously) and the current events and so on. Anyway, this can be where everyone greets eachother and other things. This is currently, as Chuck Kottke once put it, a streaming idea. Give me some feedback and ideas.

So it's about to be bike weekend and we average around 200,000 bikers in our city that has a population of about 21,000.

Hi, I thought some people on here may like WeVee or have already tried it? The site has loads of archive film dating back to 1901 that's free to watch or edit with the free mash-up editor. The archive film is really cool, there's all sorts of everyday stuff plus footage of Malcolm X's visit to Birmingham and clips of Sir Stanley Matthews last ever game for Stoke City. I've always pronounced it "cue-pon" but I mostly hear it being pronounced as "coo-pon" which annoys me. HOW DO YOU SAY IT?

Since everyone else is making a pronunciation thread, I thought I might as well make one of my own! :awesome: So how do you pronounce "roof"?

I write in kind of a combination of both. :tongue: I don't like to write in print, especially when taking notes, because I can't print fast enough. And I hate to write in full cursive because it looks too messy. Which do you prefer?
