I don't think so, it looks like it is the trophy of an award. Next to it there's a MTV trophy

the Parachutes globe was auctioned off in 2010, i think :thinking: or 2009 technically :P

Just doing some Coldplay philosophizing recently...

 

I think AHFOD is a perfection of the ideas in MX.

In MX, Coldplay thought you had to travel to a fake, dystopian world in order to find happiness. But then by the time AHFOD rolls around, they realized you can find happiness on Earth, you just have to find it or create it yourself....you the people have the power to make this life a wonderful adventure!

I definitely agree. MX is a story with a positive moral, developed from ideas for an animated film and comic series. AHFOD is a much more personal album for the band, developed more from their own experiences. From what they've said in interviews about both albums, I'm inclined to say the emotion in AHFOD is more pure and genuine because it comes straight from their own hearts.

I am praying that they don't screw this up like Avicii in True Believer.

Well the music sure doesn't reflect that... the music in MX blows up much more and is much happier but I could see that.

Considering it's the Chainsmokers I wouldn't be surprised.

 

They stick to a pop formula/sound, so I doubt it

Saw this map on Twitter of the "Strangest Town Names in the US." Take a look at Colorado's (square one near the middle).

 

If you've been around the forums for a little while, you might remember me mentioning I drove through that town one time.

guys im trying to get a customised mobile cover and im going for coldplay theme :D unfortunately, i can't find any cool HD pictures/artworks that will look nice on the mobile. so if anyone of you have some HD pictures please help a fellow coldplayer out!

P.S im not looking for simple band pictures but something artistic etc

It actually sounds pretty nice too!

 

Probably going to end up all glossy and overproduced seeing how The Chainsmokers are when things are said and done, sadly enough. :(

See, these collabs sound great, but it sucks that CM has to do them with big name pop acts. We probably got much better results with Faultline, Ron Sexsmith, Michael Stipe etc. Those were really good collabs. Cat Power too, to mention a newer one.

 

That being said the collab with Tove Lo yielded pretty nice results. She's actually decent though.
