I am definitely going!!!

For those who've never been to the Cynthia Woods Pavillion it's a really nice outdoor concert stage. And there's also a small pit which Im gonna try my best to get tickets for if its not more expensive.

Oh and imo there isnt that much seating so y'all should rush to the presale to get tickets otherwise you're gonna be on the lawn.

I'm loving that the guys are coming back to Houston and are playing in what is practically my back yard!! :D

I'll spend whatever it takes to get great reserved seats..... 2 shows in Houston in one year?? I think I've died and gone to heaven!!!

Viva la Texas!!

Susan

Susan, I feel the same way. I took all my daughters in November to see them at the Toyoto Center, now I found tonight that they will be back in July.

We WILL be there, whatever it takes.:)

The rest of the family knows I am ate up with Coldplay, its just a matter of fact round this house. :D

Tickets for the show

Can someone tell me how to get tickets to this show- besides going thru TicketMaster, or the other routine scalps ?

In all of my concerts to see Coldplay, I have yet been able to buy them directly from the group , and at face value. Always have to buy thru a 2nd or 3rd layer , and the usual $80 ticket will cost me upwards of $130.

I am in need of 12 tickets to take the girls in my family (daughters, grand daughters, daughter-in-laws) :D

( Did I mention that Paw-Paw will be paying for all the tickets? :laugh3:)

Seems there should be a way to get tickets so that we can all sit together, or reasonably close to each other. We all love Coldplay, have been several times and wish to keep going to these concerts. We drive from Baton Rouge to Houston to see them so we would like to stay together at the concert.

Someone please advise me the best way to get tickets before the concert is sold out in 3 minutes to the ticket companies that resell them for a scalp. :\

Any help would be appreciated.

Are the pit tickets reserved w/ chairs?? Probably not right? I sat on the floor at the Toyota Center and despite being 5'10" , I still had trouble seeing.
If they have a PIT, it will be right in front of the stage and holds I would guess about 100-150 people max. From the seats, views are good throughout as long as some giant isn't in front of you. Can say about the lawn as I don't do lawn. :P

If you are from out of town and need a hotel, try the Drury Inn at the Woodlands. It's really close and a nice hotel.

The purpose of this thread is NOT to secure tickets, it's to discuss the concert. Anchorman works for Coldplay's offical site and doesn't visit here, so questions directed at him are pointless. You can however try contacting Live Nation. This is what I could find at the Woodlands web site :

Group Sales

Most contemporary/rock/country/pop concerts do NOT offer group tickets. To check on a specific concert and group ticket availability, call Live Nation at 713-693-8600 and ask for the group sales department. Please note that the ticket price for these concerts generally is NOT discounted for groups.

Getting that many tickets "seated" together is gonna be impossible, IMO. If you truely need them all together, try one of the ticket agencies, but brace yourself for the cost, I can promise it will be most painful! You could always do lawn seating because lawn is general admission, so no worries about seats being together. You will just have to purchase in groups (of 4 most likely). No one is gonna be asking for lawn from the beinging of the sale, so you should be able to purchase all 12 lawn seats if you start buying as soon as tickets go on sale. Good luck.

Texasluvsjonny-thanks for the info. Excuse my simplicity, am a newbie on this site. Your help is much appreciated and I will try your ideas.

Cost per ticket is a factor, however, sitting close or together is most important to us.

Thanks again for your help.

Anyone else?

I dont want to cycle or recycle revenge...........

Reserved are gonna be over $100 each after service charges. expect to pay 4-6 times that if you have to use a ticket agency. If you can line up early, lawn is your best bet, will cost you less than $50 a ticket even with service charges.

Where are you planning to sit Angie?:)
