Freedom, everybody! If you want to hear it, go hear it. In my opinion, you are making a mistake because the quality is shit (unlike AIMH and Another's Arms) but you can do whatever you want. On the other hand, respect those who don't want to hear because they respect the band wishes. And finally, respect the band who wish to take down the audio because it is their legal right to do so. the end.

I've seen some people say it sounds like something from Joshua Tree, and they are right. From what I've heard on a low quality recording, the guitar is very Where the Streets Have No Name, which is awesome. Can't wait for the release!

The discussion going on here is leading nowhere. There was always going to be someone who recorded it anyway. A shame, but harm is done. There's no use in judging them now or those who listened to the song. You won't go to hell if you click play.

 

Judging from an average recording, it's not as bad as I thought, but I was prepared for the worst. I'm not a fan of DLIBYH and ETIAW and this one sounds more subtle to me. What I don't like is the repetitive lyrics (once again), especially when they're cheesy as fuck.

Part of the melody reminds me of a song by the Killers that I can't remember the title of.

I was kinda feeling it and then there's a synth lead that comes in that reminds of a Rihanna-esque song that I'm not too excited for

That's how I feel. I don't have an issue with listening to leaks, as long as you buy it when it comes out

This. If the band wanted it to be so badly kept secret, why did they perform it in front of an uncontrolled crowd such as the opening night at Cologne? They know already from Austin City Limits that they can't possibly perform an unreleased song in front of an open audience and get away with it!

K, new page. Let's ditch the leak talk. I think it's clear those for and against it are firmly in their opinions and not about to budge. Leak happened (whether we like it or not).

 

 

The song. Iunno, calling it the successor to Yellow and Viva was a little heavy handed imo. The song itself (which i've heard) was solid. Feels to me though, like it belongs more in the previous MX era than this new, low key GS era.

LOL! I think it's called a MIDI?? Not sure if that's the correct name but/description. It's a computer program that plays the notes. Can't remember which video I saw lately(maybe Oceans on BBC?) where they made a point to show the piano playing on it's own. Definitely not ASFoS.
