LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"

Virtual reality music videos are becoming a bigger deal, as they should. I suspect this one will be far more entertaining than ASFOS live 2014.

The idea is just to put the viewer IN the experience. Sometimes that even means giving the viewer a first person perspective. So maybe in the video you are a little kid running around the festival while Coldplay play music and Chris dances around. It focuses on using wider angles and super "touchy" moments. Imagine playing a video game and running through exploding holi! Sounds fun to me! And could make for a unique video.

That director has been tweeting a lot recently about his work with a VR Foster the People video.

That sounds awesome! [emoji2][emoji106]

thank you so much for this answer. Now I think I get what it means & it is promising

So maybe the Holi-painted clothing won't be their normal outfit for concerts and appearances...? Perhaps the photo shoot after filming the MV was just for promotional photos and/or the album booklet.

ignorant "journalists". anyway, getting back on point, some new pics. you can see the jacket clearer in these. there seem to be big blotches of color in some places. Message from the poster: Added spoilers so for future people just scrolling through these forums to find that one bit of info they need they don't have to scroll up that extra bit.

I just can't believe it. There is so much more news, so much more pics in the past few days then there has been in the past 10 months. I can't believe it. I love it! I love the nice pics BTW... and you know in that last one Chris's up to something. :P

I think I missed that. Could you post the link for that post?

I did edit the post I made before so it did have the pic I meant but to save you the time I'll just post it here:

That could be possible... but so far it definetely seems like that they will be going for the colorful theme throughout the album since Chris did say that this album would be uplifting and upbeat (as a lot of people know).

Ahem..... The article was just tagging their song as another 'rang barase' (an extremely popular holi song ) it does not mean that the title of the song is the same

Yeah, I got a little over excited there, which from me is to be expected because if anyone says something about a new song and a title for a shoot like how Economic Times did I'm automatically going to get overexcited because it has to do with AHFOD and I'm probably going to get too excited as to misinterpret the meaning of it lol

Wait is Coldplay preforming at the iTunes Festival? If so, are there reliable sources?

Nope. The full lineup has already been announced.

If they are comparing the song to popular Holi songs, then who's to say that it doesn't have at least a little bit of Indian influence, sonically or lyrically (or both)?

Here's a bit of interesting information. Apparently Chris is bringing an artist from India to perform at the Global Citizen Festival. The festivals have been known to have surprise collaborations like in last year when Beyonce showed up to perform with Jay-Z, will this artist from India perform with our very own Coldplay given the fact they were just there. Hmm, seems a little far-fetched but you never know.

"He called Ed Sheeran, he called Beyoncé himself, he even travelled to India with us to find an incredible artist that we're going to be showcasing on stage at the festival"

Hmm... could it be a guest musician for the new song? I hope we don't have to wait 2 weeks to find out if whether or not that is true!

So the suits are black with blotches of color? I already love that more than the MX suits :dazzled: I only wish they could just release an official photo of the band :P

I have a strong feeling we're gonna hear something this Monday.

God hears you

Im pretty sure that photo they took on the wall will be for their Itunes banner

That will be an official photo of some sort. [emoji2][emoji106]

Same here.

Regarding all the MX / VlV talk- I loved both. VlV was probably their most creative record and in MX they finally sounded as good as they do live.

I predict either Monday or Tuesday will be the big day... ;) I will be glued to Twitter until we finally get the tweet announcing the single.

I really really really hope that Coldplay will do something like this:

But of course that'll never happen. :(

To me a song can be awesome despite simplistic lyrics. However, it needs very good instrumentals in order to compensate. Take Midnight for example, where it's the melody and the overall dark sound that carries the song. As long as the melodies are strong and the lyrics aren't so simple and cliched that they distract from the rest of the song, I will be happy.

Yeah. Proof is an example of where awful lyrics still can make a good song because of the emotion, sound and melodies behind it. Also, I believe that simple lyrics in itself are not necessarily a bad thing. Sometimes the simplest lyrics can express the strongest feelings, and better than more convoluted ones. I love the vagueness in Coldplay lyrics, making it possible for everyone to relate to them in an individual way.

To be honest, I personally never understood why people say that Coldplay has terrible lyrics. They aren't the best, but they certainly aren't bad in my opinion.

level of hatred for chris[/url]... the guy is basically the nicest guy there is and very careful not to offend anybody. still the nasty misconceptions are around..

Whoa, so much garbling on one page. The Mumbai meat ban adjusted for Chris (bc vegetarian fare would remind him of Gwyneth :D??!! Holi going to be relocated to when the single comes out ? Come on, this guy clearly is a Coldplay hater.

That would actually be cool !
