I had a dream that the video for the single would be Chris in a coffee shop with his smiley hat on, and the song comes on in the shop's playlist... Chris

starts lip-syncing along and recording on his i-Phone and mimes the keyboard synths... At the end of the video he is last to leave the coffee shop.

Our Lord and Savior in 2011. Previous to this post, we had only wild speculation to the title for LP5, so this was like reading a foreign language. I legitimately remember that night like it was yesterday. It came from nowhere, and within just a few hours, all the pieces of art we'd seen for the past two months suddenly connected. To say the board was electric is an understatement.

 

I'm gonna put my tinfoil hat on and say that's Mark 'Spike' Stent who helped produce Mylo Xyloto. He has never posted since that event, and I don't believe he posted before.

 

And before him, we actually had a guy around Viva and before the launch of ETIAW. I can't remember his name, but he hasn't posted since mid-2011. He would post very detailed information about future releases -- in small tidbits. And anytime he'd post, we knew something was coming soon. He'd answer questions and was always 100% correct. I'm not sure what happened to him, but those guys were the best.

As for the timing I think that the band could follow the same thing that for MX in 2011 : announcement of the album tracklisting and release date in august, first single in september (before the iHeart festival) and album release in october or november.

Funnily enough, i'm browsing through the archives at the moment and just spotted the date again. The album release date announcement was made on 12th August to be exact, then Mylo Xyloto was released 2 months and 12 days later :)

[on the sound of lp7] I'm not 100% sure but I believe from the way they have been talking that the album will be a mixture, although mainly pop. Back to their big stadium filling sound.

CM in Vancouver, Canada. 8 tracks out of 9 are fully done and there are just couple more for deluxe editions to go. Tidal and iTunes are arguing who'll get them, which to me, is hilarious.
