March 30, 201511 yr Absolutely, but they haven't done a truly above average album since Viva IMO. Hopefully AHFOD is a statement of intent from a band that is threatening to become a band defined only by "the early stuff" I do believe AHFOD will be a return to some form of coldplay's earlier work because they haven't sounded aggressive since viva. I think they miss that style of music. I know I do. Lol.

Chris said in an interview: "we're trying to make something colorful and uplifting and we're just having quite a good time because we've spent so long not making that kind of thing." I can't wait to hear the new album :D

Unless they announce it during the day haha (here it is 0:27 yet) Or... maybe they could announce it tomorrow? Well, considering it is April Fools' Day, it could be a possibility hahaha!

March 31, 201511 yr I think that they will announce it on 1st june. It's good time to do it if they plan to release it in october/november and Lollapalooza 2015 in Berlin will make an announcement about their headliner and i believe it's Coldplay. If it will be true then probably we'll have arena tour too in september. We'll see.

It's not ideal as it's not widely available but not locked to a certain country like Target was!

March 31, 201511 yr Madeon just released his new album, and it is pretty good! As far as EDM goes, he has a unique sound that is really rich and textured. Good, sensible pop for the dancefloor! If Coldplay goes for a dancy sounding track on LP7 then I could see them pairing up with Madeon much like Sam Smith and Disclosure did for that stellar track Latch. Would be interesting to see happen.

I think the majority of songs that didn't make the cut were usually shelved and will never be released. Unless the band decides to rework some of those again to fit in with the theme and style of the next album.
