Hopefully AHFOD is a statement of intent from a band that is threatening to become a band defined only by "the early stuff" I do believe AHFOD will be a return to some form of coldplay's earlier work because they haven't sounded aggressive since viva. Chris said in an interview: "we're trying to make something colorful and uplifting and we're just having quite a good time because we've spent so long not making that kind of thing." It's good time to do it if they plan to release it in october/november and Lollapalooza 2015 in Berlin will make an announcement about their headliner and i believe it's Coldplay. lennyrott1 Posted March 31, 2015 Share Posted March 31, 2015 Madeon just released his new album, and it is pretty good! As far as EDM goes, he has a unique sound that is really rich and textured. Good, sensible pop for the dancefloor! If Coldplay goes for a dancy sounding track on LP7 then I could see them pairing up with Madeon much like Sam Smith and Disclosure did for that stellar track Latch. I think the majority of songs that didn't make the cut were usually shelved and will never be released.
