They knew what they were getting into when they invited her to be one of their special guests. If they didn't want to do Hymn, what else was she going to do?

OMG, I saw the first 2,5 minutes of the new Beyoncé "song". Then I gave up.

That is going to be "some contrast" with Coldplay at the Super Bowl.

And I'm not sure if it's going to be positive for Beyoncé.

I conclude that Hymn was not played either because of the CA whiners. In this case it was a bad decision because not playing means admitting guilt for something they never did. Or it was not played because seriously Coldplay thought it´d be "bad taste" to play a current chart single (even though Madonna did before them and Beyonce will be doing now...hmmmm)

Chris said that Beyoncé was there to represent the past (her being a past performer) but in my mind it doesn't make any sense if she plays a new song :|

i think in terms of media coverage, it has already been a beyonce show. eg. the press conference on thursday was more beyonce questions. but since today, it will be like 90-10 split for beyonce i think.

We know it's a Coldplay show. But the media has forgotten it. Anyways, as @gai said, I'll just focus on Coldplay, I don't care about the rest. Beyonce could win all the prizes but I won't change my mind on thinking her music is rubbish.
