Hey all, I keep a list of songs that the band has supposedly written and recorded and then I try to find them to add to my collection. not like i'm already sick of violet hill or anything... but having a new song is making me greedy so im already looking ahead to next week! seeing as "A Spell A Rebel Yell" will only be on vinyl, will someone here still be able to post it up here? i'm not too technologically educated so basically im just wondering if it's possible to make a track on a vinyl into an mp3. plus i don't know if i will even be able to get the vinyl and EVEN IF I DO i dont have anything to play it with. so basically... i just wanted to make sure someone here can put it up. feel free to also discuss expectations for our first VLVODAAHF b-side!

I think this could potentially be one of the most beautiful songs Coldplay have ever written. Very atmospheric with the almost airport esque chatter, catchy piano and Chris at his very best with falsetto. Who's with me?

My friend found this out... The space all the songs on the album take up is 42.5 MB in (.mp4) format. And in (.mp3) format it is EXACTLY 42!!! Coldplay and their secrets....:)

This isn't a number x thread to say I love or I hate VLV. I love every album. What I want to say is that this afternoon, after listening many times to VLV, i listened to old stuff. It's amazing how simple "For you", "See you soon" or "Help is round the corner" sound. when in VLV they put I don't know how instruments parts in it, maybe they should sometimes comme back to something more simple. Just 2 guitars, or a guitar and a piano. Just 2, 3 or 4 guys sitting in a room... Does anyone feel like that ?

Why hasn't The New York Times reviewed VLV yet? Wasn't this album essentially Chris's response to their negative reviews?

I think that the songs like reign of love get the quality of the cd down. If the LP triumphs is not because of that kind of songs. From my point of view they should use that melodies to get together and make new songs and don't put everything they get on they album. All in all, I love Viva la Vida..is their best album..

First, I have to emphasize that I'm a huge coldplay fan and Im not pointing any fingers here, but it was just brought to my attention while i was reading up on Liberty Leading the People painting that a japanese rock band used a similar title and cover to coldplay's new album back in 1999. whats interesting that there are similarities in both the title and the cover. Did Chris mention anything about inspirations that might have influenced their cover/ title choice ?
