Is anyone concerned that 2/3 of the songs released feature little to no music from the rest of the band? No drum kits, no guitars, no bass lines. I don't know about you, but when we are talking about a band, I'd actually like to hear the other members. I guess I just find it odd, that's all. Anyone feel the same way? Change is fine, I just wish it didn't feel like the rest of the band was removed from the equation.

That would be nice to all post them in a the same place.. Here's THE NEW YORK ENTAIRTENEMENT Over the weekend, popular soft-rock combo Coldplay announced the details of their long-awaited fourth album, Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends, due on June 17. As we were leaving the office on Friday, we were clubbed over the head, drugged, and transported via helicopter to the top-secret island (Britain) on which Chris Martin & Co. have been plotting their imminent comeback. When we regained consciousness, we found ourselves tied to a chair in a Batcave-esque underground recording studio where a Coldplay publicist, in between bouts of maniacal laughter, of…

im not liking the whole french revolution theme of coldplay beacuse of what happen during the so called "revolution" your history books wont tell you the truth of what really happen the people who started the French revolution were really not revolutionaries at all!! if i was living at that time i would have been an ANIT-REVOLUTIONARY ! hundreds of thousands of people were guotined for nothing more than speaking out against the blood shed, and the government!! the supposed food shortage that caused the war is BULLSSH!t it wasnt the kings fault the food shortage happen , it was men in high places with much power im not a conspricacy theorist but the truth is that the Freem…

...what a joke. Looks like that album will always be A Rush Of Blood To The Head. I am as diehard a Coldplay fan as you will find and there is no way we can be happy with this album so far. We have heard three songs, two off the album, and they are all not the Coldplay we all love. So why would they change their sound so dramatically? Did they do it because they truly believe they are the biggest band in the world and people will buy their music anyway? They should experiment on their own time but continue to reward their true fans with Coldplay music. I was so looking foward to their new album but with the name of the album being idiotic to the new music, I am looking fo…

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that this song has beautiful lyrics that could make you cry (about a hero's tragic downfall and how he now suffers from great loneliness and misfortune), yet the tempo is upbeat and more happy than the lyrics suggest? This song is just brilliant and I think it is perfect in every which way, yet I find this odd, but somewhat beautiful.

Prospekt is the Grim Reaper, aka Death! That would explain why half the album and one song are named after him and his buddies. Also would explain this sudden burst of violence from Coldplay ("Hollowed out to fit their rifles", "Baby its a violent world"). Also its the reason why they chose such a death-filled album cover. Death is making the boys do his bidding, and he's hiding under the name Prospekt!! Why else would they be so careful in not telling who it is? Sorry, I just love conspiracy theories. Plus its like 1 in the morning so Im a little off..:\

Guys, check this article by Neil McCormick The Band That Came From The Cold http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2008/05/05/1209839556058.html Which are the two band apart from Coldplay mentioned in it?: The Beatles and U2. People: Coldplay is the Third Band. Get used to it. Check this website, everything is explained there I am excited to see how everything is playing out. I am desperate because I have been working on this since 14 years ago. But PATIENCE is the big word here. Sorry if I annoy anyone with this, but I just can't help it. Best for everybody, and join the group at Facebook (Link Below)

i've now listened to couple of their new songs , and i must say? where is the guitar? seems the purity of guitars and music have been wasted by modern FX and bad producers . I always loved parachutes and AROBTTH and all the b-sides from that period . Coldplay at their best and their own sound , now with the 2 last albums things have been changed dunt know what but they dont have te magic as before alot of new bands sound better . Just coldplay is so famous there getting al the attention. I "m not a coldplay hater , hell i spent 8y with their music but i'm dissapointed

I was just wondering if anyone knows what happend to Timberland collaborating with Coldplay? I remember hearing about it when they first started recording. Maybe this will still eventually happen? Either way, I think Timberland needs Coldplay a lot more than Coldplay would need Timberland.

Interesting, if not anti-coldplay, article from the Guardian blog: The new Coldplay album won't be out for another six weeks but I can already tell you that it's going to be a big disappointment, and possibly their lowest selling album ever. The reason? Not the music, the title: Viva la Vida, or Death and All His Friends. Previously known for snappy titles - Parachutes, X&Y, A Rush of Blood to the Head - this time they've opted for something grander. They may well look back and wish they'd called it X&Y&Z. It's a little-noted fact that many bands who have enjoyed great success with a landmark album are unable to resist giving the follow-up a name th…

JUST a week after his missus, actress GWYNETH PALTROW, emerged from hibernation to talk a load of mumbo jumbo, COLDPLAY’s CHRIS MARTIN does the same. Only he doesn’t have the hot new body. The frontman was spouting hippy nonsense when he was asked about his new album, Viva La Vida — out June 12 — insisting each track is a different COLOUR. Chris said: “Each song is our attempt to do a different colour. It doesn’t matter whether the record is good or bad. It matters that it’s colourful. The songs are supposed to be flavours, things we haven’t tasted before.” Banana By that reckoning, would their storming track of summer 2000, Yellow, taste like a banana?…
