Being very arrogant and U.S.-centric, I refer to the U.S. Academy Awards below Hi all: For the first time in a long time, I actually had the Oscars on last night. True, I was doing other things (like finding out my new DigiCam was defective), but I got to hear all the awards and (sigh) the acceptance speaches. The highlight for me was seeing Sean Penn finally get an Oscar, but the fact that he had to wait so long, along with RotK winning 11 awards, only makes me shake my head even more at the Oscars. I know this is just another reality show. But, I just finished watching it and I must say that I like the Bachelorette much better than the Bachelor. I wasn't sure if I'd like Meredith as the bachelorette, but so far I'm not annoyed. My fave part are the eliminations when she whispers 'will you accept this rose' and they also whisper back to her 'yes'. Anyone watch this show? Any favorites? So far it looks like she's really liking Rick.

Howdy! I see threads for movies all the time on here, so I thought I'd start one for this new movie that's coming out. It's called "Passion of the Christ" and it's directed and produced by Mel Gibson. Gibson was interviewed last night by ABC's Diane Sawyer...I was totally bewildered. :o I mean, the guy has got religion, he's been "re-born" and at least to me, he just looked and sounded like a close-minded bigot :confused: :/ I know entire churches here have bought tickets en masse and they have even declared that this movie will be used to evangelize and that it's the best thing to have happened in decades.... i know he's king and everything i read the books and all (scimmed through them) but why doesnt he go back to that town where he will be king instead of being a ranger? like why didnt he just get handed down kingship from his dad or something.. why was theoden king instead of him?

I'm working on a site with frames now and it's all good. But when I upload it I can't open the site properly anymore because it says my browser won't allow frames. But IE 3.0 and all upgraded versions shouldn't have any problems with frames. I got IE 5.0 or 6.0, not sure. Why can't I upload a page with frames and actually view it??? :confused:
