There have been various T-shirt ideas in the past which haven't come to fruition for one reason or another, so I thought maybe we could have another go on behalf of CCC. I always thought it would be great for there to be a Coldplaying.com T-shirt which would set us apart from other Coldplay fans at gigs etc. It wouldn't need to be anything sophisticated - as long as "Coldplaying.com" was clearly visible, this would be enough. Maybe "CCC" could be incorporated too. As an extra touch, each member could maybe personalise their T-shirt by having their username printed on the back after purchasing it. Any profits from the T-shirt could go directly to the CCC. It'd be great…

"How We See The World"!!! Congratulation to LORETIN for coming up with the best two titles!:D :D :D SInce both "How We See The World" and "Let's Put A Smile Upon Their Faces" seem to be equally popular, here's what we're going to do": The main title on the front cover will be "How We See The World" with a by-line saying something like "An album For The Coldplaying Charity Club". On the inside panel will be a list of causes supported by the CCC that will start with something like The Coldplaying Charity Club Supports The Following Causes (Let's Put A Smile Upon Their Faces) The main title has the advantage of lining up with the Toronto sh…

Only 24 hours to vote in this one.:) EDIT: OK. This poll seems to be cursed. First a typo, and now, even though I said I wanted to add a poll, it didn't take!! So just post your replies in the thread. The 2 choices are: 'Let's Put A Smile Upon Their Faces' or 'CCC: How We See The World' The votes cast in the previous poll have been accounted for...sorry for the confusion.

I've had to leave one or two suggestions out either for legal reasons, or because 'Tracie Morgan Saves The World' (which was posted, NOT BY ME!) doesn't quite serve the purpose, lol.:) Thanks for all the great ideal!!:D

As many of you know, we've been compiling a CD of music by forum members for forum memgers. All the proceeds from the sale of this CD will be donated to the CCC. For the purposes of thread titles and PMs, I've been calling it 'Coldplayers for Coldplayers', but I'm sure there's a better title out there. Feel free to post suggestions here or in a PM. The person who comes up with the best title will receive a free copy of the CD, have their name in the credits and have my undying gratitude...ok, so you can't sell that on EBay, but it's the best I can do,lol. Fire away!

Yo all coldplayers! :) Let's take it from the beginning. November 7th 2005, Coldplay - Stockholm. I attended to that concert, amazing, breathtaking, still flying on clouds. Yeah. When I came home, I watched some video clips that a friend of mind sent me from the concert. Then I got the idea to put together the entire concert, like a DVD just for me and some friends. Then suddenly I got emails from fans that offered to send me their videos, and after that I got another idea, why not put together the concert and with multi-angle’s, you know like a real tour DVD. So then I got to work, I started a thread on every Coldplay forum I could find and askt people o…

This is just a suggestion: I've met alot of other musicians on the board and I'm thinking it would be cool, not to mention a s**tload of fun if we all put a couple of our songs on a compilation CD. Just for ppl on the board. Not for profit. If there were any money earned...like members would pay a few dollars for it...all the money could go to the CCC. I have access to mixing and mastering and CD replicating facilities here and could orchestrate alot of the hands-on stuff. I don't have alot of money and up til now didn't think I had anything to offer as far as fund-raising goes, but this could work!!! Anyone interested? Post here or PM me!

That Chris constantly campaigns for charity and Africa, and he is even performing soon at an anti-global warming concert. Yet, he drives a 4x4. Doesn't make sense does it?

You can help fund important charity projects for free by googling via http://www.isara.com. Isara also has Amazon, so if you ever shop Amazon use their Amazon Guilt-free Shopping instead of going directly to Amazon. It's the same product and price, but isara get a small commission which goes directly to their charity projects. Isara recently renovated a Red Cross building in Thailand and created a small library in Nepal. And it was all possible because people made Isara their homepage or used it for all their Google searches. Go test it out. Visit http://www.isara.com and do a Google search for Coldplaying. You just helped the less fortunate. Now delete your Google …

at first i want to say that coldplays charity projects are great as you can also see in this forum. but i would like to know, wether coldplay is donating a lot of money too... i mean they are certainly making a lot of money, they could probably donate over 50% from their money and still have a very very good life standard. it would be a little confusing when chris is always trying to make us to give money, but does not do that himself. because there are a lot of people out there who do so. if they would give a 30% of their money, instead of always talking and talking about these things, they could really change the world. so: how much does coldplay donate from their mone…

Coldplay star Chris Martin thinks the new version of charity single Do They Know It' Christmas? is a "tremendously bad idea" and only agreed to sing on the track after watching a report on refugees in Sudan's Darfur province. The Yellow singer was horrified by plans to make a Band Aid 20 version of the 1984 classic, but changed his mind when he realised Travis star Fran Healy was joining the cause, which will raise money for African famine victims. He explains: "My first reaction was that this was a tremendously bad idea, the cheesiest thing I'd ever heard. "A couple of weeks went past and I was told Fran was doing it, which made it more interesting. Then I watc…

Would you buy fair trade? Issue: November 2006 With European markets going ga-ga over fair trade products, will those with the buying power in South Africa start doing the same? In the rush up to the silly season, here's how you can ensure that what you're buying is ethically produced. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin writes the words 'fair trade' on his hand each time he performs. And with his DATA campaign (debt, Aids, trade, Africa), U2's Bono and his wife Ali have launched a fair trade fashion line, Edun, and are intent on hammering away at what he terms the 'unfair trade rules which keep Africans poor'. Celebrity endorsement aside, the great thing about shopp…

I just returned from a missions trip with my school to Costa Rica, and it was shocking to say the least. I'm not one who cries a lot, but sitting here and looking at all the pictures we took at the orphanage is causing me to just weep. I feel for these kids, and just thought I'd share my trip story with everyone here. These charities aren't for show - the situations these people live in are real and they need our help now more than ever. My friend Charlie and I with the kids. My friend Heather saying goodbye. My friend Josh playing with one of the younger boys, Josel. My friend Jonathan (yes, he's older) swinging one of the kids around. That's me i…
