My thoughts are that...the album will be a Ghost Stories 2- sorta. Amazing Day sounds like it'd fit right in on Ghost Stories. Like they've really been into minimalism again. On GS- electronic minimalism. Though, Amazing Day isn't electronic- but neither was it's most-sounding sound- Always In My Head.

Always telling people how to act like proper fans and stuff... anyway, I don't think we´re acting like spoiled brats because there's obviously stuff going on and we' re being kept out of the loop entirely, if all had been silent on the Coldplay front for the past 10 months since Chris revealed the title, none of us would be complaining now but there have been developments these past few weeks (the video shoot, new on-stage details, the whole Indian culture theme, Amazing Day) and they aren't giving us ANYTHING on social media like other groups do, we are being shut out entirely and I think that's the wrong way to go, you have to keep you fan base engaged and in the know to a certain extent, i'm not saying they should ask us what the tracklist should be or let us pick the album art but hey, is a Roadie 42 blog too much to ask for? a tweet saying that they're close to finishing the album or that they are done with it? Hell, i would settle for a picture of the band in the studio, that way we would know that the album is NOT finished yet and we would be more patient but they give us nothing and that makes me (and clearly not just me but a lot of other Coldplayers here too) anxious and desperate and there is nothing wrong with that, i think it's a natural reaction for us Coldplay-obsessed folk, i wish I could be as stoic and carefree as you, i really do...

Well said. Maybe we need to bring back my short-lived #ResurrektProspekt from over a month ago. Roadie 42 has gone silent and now all we're getting are vague "I can't tell you anything but stay tuned" tweets from Rik Simpson. Sure, some of this is our own fault but maybe some extra information or studio photos/clips would alleviate the pressure. Chris should've never mentioned the title because it left us expecting something soon and opened the door for the infamous BooBooBoo to troll this forum with false information.

Theoretically the single could still be released within the next day but we have no clear-cut evidence suggesting that it will happen. All we have are rumors and the possibility of a surprise release.

I think there's been a change in the plans they made for the release. The video shooting, the two festivals and the revealing of Amazing Day were signals of an imminent release. Now I don't know what's been the issue, but it's clear that all has been delayed.

Theres November and December...but the "few days to new single" lead has been really disappointing

Adele set her album for 20 Nov,and released a new song already.Im actually fine with the band releasing AHFOD start of next year,as it would avoid the clashes with Adele and 1D and probably get top spot.Just give us a new single soon and it will be good enough!

what I like to do is tell ppl that complaining will get them nowhere with this (and in life). But apparently you've got many users who feel the same way as you. And so whatever I write will probably be lost anyways too. To that I say, 'I hear you'. I know exactly how I come across to you guys, as described by Kaisin here. I don't mind the role I have in this forum; I know what I'm saying is true as I've seen it before. You're all free to do as you wish of course, but I don't say what I say to be mean and controlling. I say it to offer some guidance to save you some time and effort. I just feel the need to offer you guys the other side of the story so you won't look back months from now and say, 'I wish someone would've told me how pointless that was'. Because I did say it, and I've been saying it.

 

one more thing before I close the book on this. You say you wish to be as carefree as I about this situation. Realize there's a world outside this forum and go visit it once in a while. Not only is it a nice break from this thread, but it makes time pass quicker and before you know it, a single will actually drop.

Yeah, I think the band should feel more confident in their work and 'fight fire with fire' so to speak and not worry about competing with Adele.
