Ghost Stories wasn't a huge money maker for them, so they are definitely going to want to make up for that with this next album. Wasn't a huge money maker? Maybe in relation to number of album sales, but even then, Ghost Stories was still the 4th best selling album of the year, worldwide, with other artists on the same label making up the other top spots. The industry has changed, revenue created through the streaming services shouldn't be underestimated. Magic & ASFOS are the only Coldplay tracks to reach 200M streams on Spotify, both tracks accumulated over 100M plays on YouTube & the value of ASFOS, used in the countless commercials across the world, would have been a nice bonus for the label in the past 18 months, I'd imagine that song will stick around to be used in similar circumstances in many years to come. I'm not saying it was more successful than any other Coldplay album, but it certainly isn't the flop some fans make it out to be. Fans perception that they 'lost money on this record' could well be far from the truth.

And also, we're saying it wasn't a money maker relative to other eras where they did tour.

October 23, 201510 yr That means a EDM+alot of pop(Paradise/Viva La Vida/ASFOS) Yeah, Paradise is "pop" alright :laugh4: You can't really call it "radio" pop. I've said this many times before but Coldplay's pop is a lot different than radio pop. Coldplay's pop is a much, much more improved version of radio pop, and it actually sounds nice IMO. :P Coldplay are surely scared 'bout new single "Hello" from Adele. That song is damn good.. Wow.. I agree... I actually really like that song!:D What a break from all the new songs released today that are mostly just completely uninspired... now that's what I call a good sign of things to come!:D A breath of fresh air... I'm surely buying that one. However, I do think that Coldplay's got something down their sleeves....:)

I highly doubt we can trust on it, but who knows nowdays :D
October 23, 201510 yr COLDPLAY: THE THEME "A HEAD FULL OF DREAMS" IS PRODIGIOUS. Everyone who has heard the new Coldplay album, "A head full of dreams" has been amazed. There are at least five or six hymns to Martin, to sing in stadiums. and what is more surprising, "A head full of dreams" is wonderful and will surprise a lot. so no one was waiting. The album definitely not out until December, in the first week. The legendary session singer, wonderful Merry Clayton sang on the last album. Merry is the unforgettable singer of "Gimme Shelter" of "Let It Bleed" by the Rolling Stones. Unfortunately, Merry Clayton was involved in a serious car accident in Los Angeles last year and had to amputate both legs. When Chris Martin called to participate in the drive, the vast Merry said: "Doctor, I can not have all the parts of my body, but I still have this voice!"
