The other day I received a physical copy of the Japanese edition of Everyday Life. I was surprised to discover that it was different from the regular version, which I had purchased before, in another

  • I think most of people here need the original lyrics AND the Japanese translation of them which only come with physical versions.

No. I know the ASCAP songs by heart by now :D

Please tell us where you found it @driftaguy

When were these two songs written?

When were these two songs written?

I'm not sure, however they were definitely registered in the last 6 months

This reddit user was legit. Guy is on his way to LA. Woodshed studios is in Malibu.

How does this guy know so many things...?

Perhaps he is an insider at Coldplay? (Wasn't he the same guy as last time?)

That's interesting. So Will and Jonny are still working together on their own and all four of them must have worked together in the last months or at least contacted each other about their music. That sounds promising.

hah, once in a while I would check, but I never remember which ones are old, which ones are from other artists sampling Coldplay, etc.

Damn, that is such an interesting find !

"That sister is my brother" by the four of them is a strange title at first, but then it somehow gives me LGBT vibes.

"Sine spe recuperandi" means No hope of revovery and is a legal phrase used for ships that have sunk and cannot be recovered from the ocean's ground. That it is by Will and Jonny and Dan is highly intriguing since that trio also registered "Conscious Pilot"...and I actually have a little theory. I might be totally wrong, but I think...

Will and Jonny, with the help of Dan, might be composing an instrumental soundtrack for a film.

Guys, might mean nothing, but today on Sirius XM The Pulse station in the US the DJ said there are rumors about Coldplay releasing new music end of this year. I was surprised to hear rumors were beyond our little fandom here and being publicly announced. Is their PR starting some buzz?

What exactly did the person say :) if you can remember?

I could be completely off here. But after years of following Coldplay; including the long stints during each hiatus, the band never really pressures themselves to have a release done before a tour. Its always a release then a tour announcement. I guess what Im saying is that there is no way they announced they are playing a set in 12 months time without any concrete being created. There are definitely finished songs/early structure of an album/ep. Just my two cents.

Literally just that there were rumors they were going to release music. That's it. Maybe it's nothing but this is the second time I've heard of a radio station saying this (the other time I read on this board).

It might be a song composed for Global Citizen about gender equality.

Maybe they are doing the same as they did at MX.

Letting Will and Johny create an instrumental first and letting Chris hear it after they're finished?

Wasn't this in the Viva sessions?

I bet (some) people that work for radio stations know more about Coldplay's activity and new stuff, such as new songs, projects (or an album?) than we do at the moment.

I was thinking; their set at the GC festival next year could simply be a Los Unidades performance?

Any new titles could be Los Unidades' new music and not Coldplay. Don't forget, Chris told us at the end of the last era that it would be surprising if they released another "conventional" album. Perhaps they will release EPs, or something different alltogether. We'll just have to wait a bit. However this timeline works with what Dave Holmes said in the interview, that the band won't be touring before 2020/2021.

Any new titles could be Los Unidades' new music and not Coldplay.

Could that mean their new music would only be charity related?

Let's not forget Chris always says some dumb stuff every time they release an album like the band is ending or it's their last real album.

We have been confirmed in multiple ways that they have been recording over the last year or so. And it sounds like they are recording in LA as we speak.

We will almost definitely be getting new music soon. It sounds like it could even be as soon as this year, according to these radio station rumors and what not.

A report today from the somewhat unreliable "Daily Star" that Coldplay are set to release an experimental album by the end of November, followed by a more popular sounding album in 2020.

There is a really a lot of steam starting to build about Coldplay dropping music fairly imminently...
