I'm speaking for myself but, at this point, even I need a break from Coldplay too. As a huge fan, since 2011 the only year we didn't get much news from the band was 2013.

 

Also, while they said they won't be touring until 2021 that doesn't mean they won't do charity shows (like the Crisis Hidden gigs), Global Citizen Festival appearences and stuff like that. I'm perfectly fine with waiting a couple of years if that means we'll get a great album, but I have to admit at this point I'd settle for something decent like Ghost Stories.

They say they will have hiatus from touring. That doesn't mean that they won't release anything by then[emoji6] . They may even release LP8 much earlier and just do a few little gigs like with GS.

Jonny being at the bakery doesn't have to mean they're working on new material for an album. It could be anything - work on Live 2017, work on a one-off song for some other purpose, even just Jonny jamming and recording something for himself that he came up with. They are musicians, the hiatus doesn't mean they aren't touching their instruments in the next 3 years.

MattMcGinn was also seen at the Bakery a few days ago, so it could definitely be some kind of recording activity...

I think we are all thirsty for new songs or videos so whatever, touring or not, Live 2017 or not, we'd love to hear/see!

I think that Coldplay should do a no style album once more like vlvodaaohf and let each song come as it is.

A NEW COLDPLAY UPDATE!

 

Elton Jon will be releasing in April two new albums preceding a grammy tribute concert. The albums are called Restoration and Revamp. On Revamp (which has a more pop sound than Restoration with its country feel), Coldplay will cover "We All Fall In Love Sometimes", along with other notable artists like Lady Gaga, Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, P!nk, The Killers, Ed Sheeran, etc etc etc.

 

So is this one of Chris's 'surprises'? A good sign Coldplay aren't on a lull in activity and releases anyways.

Yeah, I agree. Music’s in their blood. Can’t see them not doing something that long. Well, maybe Guy would have a problem if he’s at the wheel in training all year. Ha Ha!

I'd really like to have no uniforms this time around please...especially if its a bright coloured one like last era, or the viva Grammy ones. It makes them look like a children's tv program cast.

 

I guess i'd be okay with the GS or Rush of blood theme. Coincidentally the most 'normal' theme.

I wish Chris kept the jacket that he wore at the Super Bowl for the whole AHFOD tour. I love the jacket look. I wasn't a fan of the ill-fitting blue/purple shirt with white sleeves. And the shoes were dope! I can't see how anyone wouldn't like those.

Each era's outfits have been iconic though. VLV's were awesome.

I would like something like GS ones. Casual everyday outfits with little tweaks to make them unique
