October 24, 20197 yr I'm betting WOTW and Son of Adam will be short interludes. Based on titles which song do you think will be your favorite? I'm thinking Champion of the World called that earlier
October 24, 20197 yr Continuing in the tradition of single covers which are clearly better than album covers
October 24, 20197 yr New single artwork I do like this one a lot! And I guess Arabesque is the lead single. Weird name for a lead single haha.
October 24, 20197 yr New single artwork The album cover should have been like this!!!
October 24, 20197 yr Which makes me wonder once again if what we got as the album cover is just the insert.
October 24, 20197 yr Which makes me wonder once again if what we got as the album cover is just the insert. Which reminds me...we thought AHFOD was going to be a very simple cover that was just a rainbow flower of life on a black background. But that turns out it was the cover without the extra layer of the cover with all the colourful kaleidoscopic collage (which is pretty cool in retrospect, as visually busy as that was). So maybe they'll pull a similar trick with this album cover - maybe this is an insert and the sun and moon are the cover, I hope. Or something we're totally not thinking of!

October 24, 20197 yr Game day!! I'm guessing they drop a big collab today/tomorrow. Adele/Daft Punk? But hoping for some oldplay/vivaplay.
October 24, 20197 yr Hey @Stephen! Could you create a thread for every individual song now that the list is confirmed?
October 24, 20197 yr One of the perks of being in NZ, the next 10hrs won’t be a drag as I’ll be asleep for most of it. So nice to wake up to new Coldplay. :grinning:
October 24, 20197 yr I'm hyped for this. One rock track, one pop banger. Every Teardrop / Major Minus vibes.

October 24, 20197 yr Just confirmed on radio 1 that the singles will both be hottest records on Annie Macs show so I expect there will be some form of short interview.
October 24, 20197 yr Wow, Had an amazing dream about the release this night, sunset was very very rythmic, Beyoncé and Thom Yorke were both involved:eek: Unfortunately woke up before the sunrise part started, so will have to wait for Orphans tonight to hear what the second part sounds like....:laughing:
October 24, 20197 yr https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/coldplay-album-tracklist-newspaper-ads-903039/ There were more ads in other newspapers around the world. (sorry if this was mentioned before)

And Arabesque not the 2nd single?
October 24, 20197 yr According to their Facebook page, the band is formed in 1919. I'm really curious what is all going on with this 1919 stuff
October 24, 20197 yr Yeah me too. And the whole jazz band thing. Cause it doesn’t fit with the Arabic theme they have going as well.
October 24, 20197 yr I have a sense this album will be quite similar to AHFOD rather than Viva. Viva seems to be the gold standard in regards what people want to see from the bands ‘experimentation’ but I predict we’ll see songs like AHFOD, Birds, Fun etc I think that rockier track will be an Up&Up or AOAL equivalent, but it’s hard to say from only a snippet.
October 24, 20197 yr Some people say it will be pop / E-Lo ish. While others say it's really Viva like. I didn't hear the leaks myself (and I don't want to) but you hear really different opinions depending on who you ask. I'm excited, only 9 hours left
