shred
I think you’re missing the point of the song. No I'm not. I'm just quoting the lyrics out of context.
Essam
Did anyone saw this ???!!!! it’s quite disappointing to have only full 8 songs.
the_escapist
Wow, even transition tracks are kind of long... All over one minute... I am starting to get worried that when we hear the album it seems that they are demos and not finished tracks...

I ran away
Like I mentioned in my post, I don't mind subtle politics but I'm not a big fan of my favourite band singing "We need more guns" in my face. Lol. I think it is actually cleverly done because the line is "The judgment of this court is...we need more guns" - it plays with irony and absurdity. Saying it in your face would be "We need less guns."
IcebatofvalikinRRBZ8
I assume the longer songs got Single potential?
onlylove
I think Coldplay has been too polite and repressed. It's time.

And if this is true yes, it is a bummer that we already heard the two longest songs. Disappointed that many songs are so short. So Daddy is not a voice memo after all ?

getithom
Did anyone saw this ???!!!! it’s quite disappointing to have only full 8 songs. But there’s only one interlude, so there’s 15 full songs.

prco1994
This is interesting, as I remarked on reddit, we’re not getting “transitions or snippets” per se, as we did on MX, even the “transitions” are short form songs. I like this, makes me think a bit of “father of the bride” by Vampire Weekend and how they had some shorter minute long transition songs, or like UFO was on MX
Essam
But there’s only one interlude, so there’s 15 full songs. Well technically it’s a short songs only 2 minutes
the_escapist
Today we got the preview of Guns and the times of the tracks. I was surprised of their decision to preview Guns. I am guessing the leak could be near because many people are starting to have access to the album. That being said, this is no encouragement to share the a link of the eventual leak here. TomRiver
It may be unrelated.... But "Aiko" from the MX era is 2:25 and Eko is 2:37 according to that leak..... Could they perhaps be related somehow? The same track re-recorded?

And I really like those short songs on the latest Vampire Weekend album. But when you do that there’s always the risk that those short songs seem more like demos than fully worked songs. I hope that is not the case with the boys.
danirl87
Some of you are complaining about several new songs being only 2m but don't panic some of the best songs by Coldplay are that long. see what i did there 2

the_escapist
I love UFO on Mylo Xyloto That one is only 2:18 But those type of songs will never be classic songs like Fix You, Yellow and Viva I am starting to understand why they are not touring this album
