October 27, 20196 yr Now that we have the official track list, we can discuss each track individually! What do you think the 1st track of Sunset/Everyday life part 2 will sound like ? :moon:
October 27, 20196 yr I am really looking forward to this song based off its name and position as first song on sunset. Hoping for a song like Violet Hill, AROBTTH, Politik or Major Minus.
October 27, 20196 yr Author Yeah it should be interesting, especially for me I'm curious about the beginning of the track! I'm wondering what the transition between the two albums will sound like...Will it flow seamlessly into Guns or will it be a clear cut and abrupt start for Guns ? Coldplay love making songs that flow naturally into one another, but they also like to include very brutal endings every once in a while (like Birds)...
October 28, 20196 yr Def hoping for this one to be darker and super political and just outright anti-gun. But more realistically looking at the rest of the album and the length, I wonder if this will be a short instrumental opener to Sunset. If we take Chris' word, then Sunrise should be the darker album of the too because we're "waking up to face the day's challenges" and then Sunset is about overcoming those challenges? Maybe Guns opens up Sunset by summing up Sunrise with the sounds of guns/explosions/sirens with some strings before heading into the more 'healing' songs?
November 1, 20196 yr I feel like Guns is going to be a combination of Politik, Major Minus, and Violet Hill........ with a dash of Viva maybe ¯\ _(ツ)_/¯
November 6, 20196 yr This song is much different then I expected, but I already love it. I can’t wait to hear more. :)
November 6, 20196 yr Holy hell. I haven't had this feeling of excitement about a new Coldplay song since Violet Hill. The snippet so far sounds very promising!
November 6, 20196 yr Wow Sounds interesting Are we getting the whole thing this Friday? Would love to understand the thinking behind deciding to release a preview now

November 6, 20196 yr Wow !!! Finally political and most importantly GREAR Coldplay is back this era !
November 6, 20196 yr just based on preview hoping rest of song sounds like it here's my rankings 1. Arabesque 2. Guns 3. Everyday Life 4. Orphans
November 6, 20196 yr The snippet is too short for me to fully rank it yet, but I already know Guns will be above Orphans for me for sure.
November 6, 20196 yr    The snippet reminds me of Viva demos like Bloodless Revolution and The Man Who Swears. It's political, it's angry, and it's raw. And I'm here for it, goodness gracious I can't wait for this track.
November 6, 20196 yr Oh man oh man oh man Sounds amazing. I can just imagine when the music kicks in. Though I’m a bit unsure of them being political. I use music to escape the shit around us. To have the same shit issues in the songs I listen to...hmmm I don’t know about that.
November 6, 20196 yr FUCK. YES. GO ON CHRIS. FUCK THEM ALL. I'm FUCKING hyped. If the album follows the road of the 3 songs we heard + this snippet, it might become one of the best Coldplay records... Yes i need to relax. But man i thought i lost them with AHFOD...
November 6, 20196 yr And this is brilliant , I love how they use contrasting statements .. I cannot wait to hear all of this .
November 6, 20196 yr Just as I "feared", this is shaping up to be a really political album, not that that's a bad thing, it's just that I don't really like the only mildly political song that the band has ever done (Twisted Logic) so I don't know if that's a good omen for this album. (I really, really dug Orphans and Arabesque, though)
November 6, 20196 yr Can't overstate how much I love the lyrics of the Guns snippet. Also, the acoustic feel is great. My favorite songs from MX were the acoustic songs from the original album they planned to make (Us Against the World, U.F.O., Up with the Birds). Preliminary results say this will be a favorite.
