I just heard on the radio that Coldplay found out the album leaked and are now releasing it the 12TH!!! Anyone else hear this?!

Not sure if this is good or bad but i thought it was a good read We all got to listen to Viva La Vida today, so we're sort of in the same boat here. Press play, and the album starts with "Life In Technicolor," a shimmery piece of keys and electronics that eventually moves into a "Where The Streets Have No Name"-y, lyricless rev-up, all of which is an announcement: Hey, did you hear we got Brian Eno to do this record? So here is my biggest complain about the album other than I wish they just made it 13 tracks long rather than double tracking. I feel that because Viva La Vida and Violet Hill were released early, not only did I not realize how awesome the songs actually are when listening to the entire album, but they also are relatively overlooked in anyone's top songs. While I think the entire album is amazing, there is not a doubt in my mind that they are both in my top 5 out of 13, Viva La Vida facing off with "Yes" and "42" for my top spot. Ive made it know on here that, unlike many of us, I am a fan of ASARY... I see many of us are not found of ROL too... Just for fun I was wondering if anyone thought ASARY would have made a better pairing with LIJ. Your thoughts?

Anybody else agree? It's sooo difficult now only because VLVODAAHF changed my life!! I can see why they aren't extremely proud with X&Y after hearing this- Just wondering if I'm the only one who feels this way. It makes for interesting conversations, but generally I don't think it's a good idea to compare albums or songs and rank them against each other. You're sort of turning the music into something to be studied, like pulling the wings off a butterfly. Leave it alone for a bit.

Now that we've all heard the album, what songs do you think would be likely singles? There are 2 singles left assuming they stick to the 4 single routine, though a 5th one may be in limited release in some countries. Right now I'm pretty doubtful that 42 will be released. Lovers in Japan is probably next, and they'll probably release Death and All His Friends afterwards since it's been on Grey Anatomy and such. So far we know 1. Violet Hill 2. Viva la Vida 3.
