Just been watching my dvd of the wedding crashers and I went into the special features, and there's a section about the Official Soundtrack, So I went on it and it had the full tracklisting. I think was either 18-20 songs, and SPARKS not included which is SO annoying, because it's in the actual movie pretty much the whole of the first section of the song up to and including the chorus. why would it be left off the OST if it's actually in the movie? I saw "this modern love" by Bloc party on the OST and it's not in the movie, OR the credits? WTF!

Now that we have a whole new batch of songs to work with, and I know you've all listened to them as much as I have, I think it's time to sit down and try to come up with a Best of Coldplay mix that can fit on one CD (that's 80 minutes or less). Tough, I know, but here's mine. 1. Politik 2. Crests of Waves 3. Chinese Sleep Chant 4. A Whisper 5. Reign of Love 6. Help is Round the Corner 7. Don't Panic 8. Viva la Vida 9. Sleeping Sun 10. Life is for Living 11. Til Kingdom Come 12. See You Soon 13. Sparks 14. Clocks 15. Speed of Sound 16. Death and All His Friends 17. Fix You 18. Strawberry Swing 19. I Bloom Blaum 20. Yellow 21. Warning Sign 22. The E…

I have mapped out the next ten years for Coldplay, complete with press releases and album concepts: Present -- 2010 -- Tour off Viva La Vida, improving their image slightly amongst critics and picking up more die hard fans, proving they are capable of surviving changing trends in the music business (along the likes of Elton, U2, the Stones, etc). Release their B-Side to Viva late 2009 as planned just to hold people over till the next album. This B- Side album will complete their contract with EMI. 2010 - 2012 -- The band records "concept" album that is truly experimental. This will be their "SGT Pepper" as VLVDAAHF was their "Rubber Soul". Album will impress critics…

(3.5/5) All the talk before Coldplay released their last album was how an unforseen delay of the album's release (caused allegedy by Chris Martin being scared witless by, erm, Morning Runner) would lead to a profits warning by EMI - that's how much was riding on what turned out to be a pretty underwhelming record. This time round, you could be forgiven for EMI's shareholders panicking once again. All the talk is of musical revolution - it's Dylan goes electric, it's Coldplay's very own Achtung Baby, maybe even their Kid A..... Or maybe not. For, although this is undoubtably Coldplay's most musically adventourous album, it certainly won't scare away the millions of…

I've been trying to find this image... the full version in colour used to be on the iTunes page for the Viva La Vida pre-order, but they changed the image a few weeks ago. Did anybody screencap it? Here's a segment of the image in greyscale, as it appears on coldplay.com

right i was just thinking a while ago about what i'd heard about the new album before we all heard it......and i think i remember that quite a while ago a thing went out saying coldplay were going to ditch the piano's and go for a totally rock- filled album...........now was it true that they said it? or have the voices in my head made that up? and also when people say "oh, u've got those voices in ur head again"...why's that odd?.....the odd thing would be "oh, its the voices in my leg again"

Apologies if this is somewhere already and I've just added to the clutter, but I've looked and can't find it. Strombo just said on the Hour that the full album will be streaming on the Coldplay website when his show was over tomorrow. A quick check of the main myspace music page confirmed this: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=music though it just said June 6th, so it might be earlier in the day. Just in case anyone is interested.

Don't get me wrong! I love the new record but I'm missing something and that is, a simple and beautiful ballad. I was hoping for at least one song in a similar vein to A Message or The Scientist. Anyone else feeling the same way??

hey, in order to find out the popular ranking of the VLV tracks, how about we all vote for the track that blew you away the most !! Oh, please don't just vote, you have to explain why you choose that song :) Mine: Yes Why: a new style for coldplay, I liked the changing of Chris's voice tune throughout the track. Plus, it is connected to the underated Chinese sleep chant which I think should have been a full song.

Looking to the stars ... (left to right) Coldplay band members Will Champion, Guy Berryman, Chris Martin and Jonny Buckland. A new sound is imminent, writes Christine Sams. There was a moment in U2's career when they had already conquered the world - and could have carried on sounding the same, selling tens of millions of albums, with increasing ire from critics who felt they weren't challenging themselves or listeners. Then came Achtung Baby, an album which shifted everything. It defied all expectations, wowed fans and critics and propelled the band to a stature rarely matched by others. Coldplay is one of the few groups now vying for the title of world's big…

CHRIS MARTIN believes COLDPLAY have failed as a band — because they are not big enough in the karaoke market yet. The frontman has made some pretty outrageous comments recently — like confessing to a secret love of WESTLIFE and PETER ANDRE. But aiming for success with singalong sessions is the most odd yet. He said: “I’m really determined there should be more Coldplay songs in karaoke bars. I’ve been into them and you open the lyrics book and there are a million BEATLES songs. There’s dozens of ABBA, CULTURE CLUB or even BUCKS FIZZ, but Coldplay? There will be two or at best three. If we could just get eight in every bar worldwide I’d be happy. I would know we’ve …

There is an old Zen fable, in which a man says to his yoga teacher: “I have tried to break my habit of going to wine shops and brothels, but I can’t do it. I am in chains to my nature. You can’t expect a man in chains to do anything.” Some days later, the teacher meets him going to the town one evening. He is smartly dressed and walking briskly in anticipation. The teacher says: “You don’t look like a man in chains.” I was reminded of this when reading Chris Martin’s latest, and characteristically disingenuous, comments about the new Coldplay album, Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends. As with previous album campaigns, Martin professed reluctance, humility and “…

While on stage, they may rock the audience with their performances, but off stage pop stars shock their organizers with the weirdest demands. Cher’s needs include a television showing a classic movie channel but that’s not the weird part – she also demands a special room backstage only for her wigs, reports the Sun. However, Christina Aguilera’s sternest tour demand has nothing to do with her accommodation backstage, instead it’s all to do with her trip from the airport to the stadium. Aguilera specifically demands a police escort for the journey. And just to make it all a little more difficult for the promoter, she insists that ‘under no circumstances are…
