Razorlight have slammed rival bands who churn out the same old music instead of creating something new. The band's frontman, Johnny Borrell, says that fans can expect variety on their new album - a sideways swipe at other bands like U2 and Coldplay whom, he claims, play it safe with what they release. He told NME "We're not one to do a formula and then repeat it 10 times, we like to write songs." But Borrell admitted that the album, as yet untitled, is still not musically complete, "There's a couple of songs where there's more work to be done and it's always a worry until you've finished." A duet between Chris Martin and Nelly Furtado has been mysteriously dropped from the Canadian songstress’s comeback album. Martin had recorded the track ‘All Good Things’ for Furtado’s Timbaland produced long player but the song has apparently been removed at the request of Coldplay’s label. I don't know if this has been posted elsewhere on the site, but as far as I've been able to see it hasn't. I was really dissapointed to read that EMI had once again swooped in, and used their corporate power to limit artistic creation and expression. It has been reported that the album closer for Nelly's new album, called "All Good Things", which featured Chris Martin (as previously reported on this site), has been pulled at the last minute. Okay guys...I know I'll get blasted for even listening to Ashlee Simpson...but here it goes. I read a review on MSN.com about the new album and one of the things I found curious was that the reviewer indicated that one of the songs sounded like the beginning of Oasis "Wonderwall." I had to check it out on my Rhapsody music service to see what this was all about ...and when I continued to listen to more of the album I noticed that another song "Eyes Wide Open" sounded strangely familiar.
