idea hit me... While laying down outside staringup at the stars.. and singing yellow :D I got a great idea.. I'm not sure if it will work but I hope it will.. here it goes... I thought why not have coldplay fans sing parts of coldplay songs and in the end we will put the all together and make a video out of it... its similair to the around the world... i believe thats the name of it.. but we will only do coldplay songs by coldplay fans.. I just think this idea will be great.. and we can show Coldplay the fans they have.. so what do you guys think...??

Hello all you lovely Coldplayers... I'm planning my 21st birthday a little ahead of time cause I wanted to some how bring Coldplay into it and make their music kind of the theme... well a part of it. I'm not having a big blow out... but I wanted to somehow incorporate them as sort of a theme for my birthday... and at the same time a tribute to them.. Nothing dirty please.. I'm not like that... I'm also not a drinking, cocktail, dance club party kind of person either... I'm a art, poetry, book worm, eco-friendly, vegetarian, nature loving person. So I figure maybe you guys will help me come up with ideas.. :) Thank you to all who reply.. [/img][/img]

8 days ago I was sleeping in a bamboo hut, in the hills North of Chang Mai, Thailand....2 hard hiking days into a hill tribe trek. In the middle of the night, on my flea infested mattress, under the mosquito net I hear DA duh duh, DA duh duh.........Clocks. I'm thinking "wtf, that CANNOT be a text message alert? And to make it even more perfect, it was from The Angie. I rarely text, I have no idea how it happened, and I didn't get any signal after that few split seconds ...but it was just wonderfully weird. Technically it wasn't a full song but it got me thinking it would be fun to read some other stories...... Anyone else have a weird or even inappropriat…

Hello all Coldplayers... I'm a photographer in the making.. I've been doing it for four years.. I love doing outdoor/nature and vintage theme photography.. I'm going to start projects based on and inspired by Coldplay's music, album themes and music videos.. This is not for any school project or anything, I'm just doing it for the love of photography and my love for Coldplay. It's all so inspiring, I wanted to do photo shoots based on the magic music. I wanted to ask if anyone had any other ideas of what I should do in regards to photo shoots inspired by the music. I'm going to do photo shoots based on each album theme and most of the music videos... Doe…

Hi guys, i'm new here... so this is probably the bad place to put a thread like this but I would like to start write on the forum with something good. Here in Italy, I personally know 3 guys, very very big Coldplay fans. They have a music project on YouTube, something like Boyce Avenue... in a more "brit-pop way". They've covered Charlie Brown also, but I prefer this one. I don't speak (and write) so good in english, and I'm sorry about that... but can you tell me please what do you think of this "Princess Of China" cover? :)

New article about the polarizing nature of Coldplay: http://twths.org/why-people-hate-coldplay/ I was going to add this to the end of the "Radiohead is better than Coldplay" thread but this seemed more appropriate since Radiohead is only mentioned a couple times in the link above. -cc

The newby insomniac is back, with more lovely finds courtesy coldplay.com and the WayBackMachine. ;) I've gone through the website's 'journal' archives and found some very interesting updates written by Chris himself at various points of the Parachutes promotional years. I've also got some later ones by Jonny, Will, and Phil, which I'll save for later. Again, nothing changed but paragraph breaks. This one dates a bit later, and is signed from the whole band, though titled with Chris's name. It sounds very much like him, though! Again, I'm so ridiculously struck by what's written here. Fantastic insight, and it's quite fun to dig around the pits of hor…

I was having a rather difficult time falling asleep last night and found my way over to waybackmachine.com, where I had some fun taking screenshots of coldplay.com over the years. Messing about the years 2002-2003, I came upon this version of the site: Becuase it's waybackmachine, most of the links don't work, but I did find one very interesting thing at the "diary" section of the site sometime around 2002. These "diary" entries are very short and mostly by Phil regarding tour dates, but there is one actually written by Chris! It makes for very, very interesting reading. I put in some paragraph breaks, but this is the exact format it was written in by a 25-year -o…

As Coldplay prepare to bring their world tour to Auckland, Scott Kara catches up with guitarist Jonny Buckland to talk about life in one of the world's biggest bands. Coldplay are coming to New Zealand for the first big show of the summer. It's taken a few years to get used to it but Coldplay are now feeling entirely comfortable being one of the world's biggest bands. "Generally, we're much more at ease with ourselves and with what we do than we ever have been," says guitarist Jonny Buckland on the phone from New York where they are about to play Radio City Music Hall as part of an extended global jaunt which brings them to New Zealand in November. And, he a…

The makers of The Iconic Live Moments DVD need our help! They are putting together a Tumblr page of pictures, videos and quotes from journalists, artists and fans. They are especially looking for people who went to Glastonbury in 2011. You can post your reviews, thoughts, videos and photos here :)

I was just wondering, after getting no response from the oracle, (gee what a surprise), if chris has some sort of obsession with asking if everybody is ok at concerts. I mean in every concert I have listened to, he asks it multiple times during every concert, and it gets annoying at times. I think he needs to go to rehab! What are your thoughts?

Hi everyone, Recently the Australian tour was announced, including Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. But Perth and Adelaide have been left in the dark! Last time Coldplay came, both shows SOLD OUT in minutes! I am personally incredibly sad about this - I only 'discovered' Coldplay in 2009, so I have never seen them live. I am dying to sing 'Viva la Vida' and all their other iconic songs live with fellow Coldplay fans, I would do anything to make this happen! So I have started a petition for all Perth and Adelaide fans to get a second chance! Even if you're not from either of them, or you even might live in another country, please sign this petition so we can show a…

Hi everyone! :) I wanna talk about song "Politik". For me, that's the best song ever, even thought there are Coldplay's songs with better lyrics, but... just... Melody, Feelings... Everything is perfect! Ahh! I could listen to this song Forever! what i really like about politik is the part after second verse, that piano solo and everything, that leads me to another dimension, literally. and I don't think it's about 9/11, It just happened to be released around that time..and even if it is, I'm just getting a different massage. anyway, as I see, people don't mention that song quite often when they're talking about their favorite songs and I just wonder why. I wa…

GUYS! I just got an email from Tapulous saying that I won the Tap Tap Coldplay contest! Not the grand prize (signed album), which would've been awesome, but I won the entire Coldplay catalog! I've never won anything before in my life! I guess the 302,001 was good enough to win! :stunned: :stunned: :surprised:

Hey guys! I've just launched my personal Coldplay blog. It's not supposed to be a fansite, news-oriented blog. It's a place where I want to share my opinion and history on Coldplay. I've got quite a lot of stuff to talk about, so I hope you guys can give me a chance. :) http://spraycansoul.net If you wish, you can follow me on twitter and like my Facebook Fan Page. Would you read a personal Coldplay at all? Thanks!

Then there was their horror film, Slashed, which boasted a remarkable cast – "James Nesbitt, Dave Grohl, Chris Martin, Moby," recalls Wheeler – but never saw the light of day either. "We're still talking about using that footage," he says. "A lot of people will want to see Chris Martin getting axed to death. Actually, he was the best thing in it. He's a really, really good actor. He could be really strong in a comedy." Taken from this article: http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2009/nov/12/ash-back-to-roots [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UpOzHtN3mGU]YouTube- SLASHED: Chris Martin and Jonny Buckland in Horror Film![/ame]
