Coldplay

So I saw Coldplay in LA last week, and I got the tickets back in January. I got them at the pre sale they had,and I'm from Utah. Little did I know that California is only one hour ahead of Utah not two like I thought. so naturally I was in the very back. "cursed missed opportunities"

MASSIVE Coldplay announcement tommorrow Absolute Radio have just tweeted this; MASSIVE Coldplay announcement on the Christian O'Connel Breakfast Show tomorrow morning at 7:45 GMT What could it be? My money is on something Olympics related!

This probably doesn't deserve its own thread but whatever. I saw this on the show tonight and it made me happy. Two of my favorite things: Coldplay and Jeopardy. I was happy that they put Will in the clue. :blush:

Hey! I'm starting my Coldplay vinyl collection, and I'm wondering what singles have been released on 7" since the Viva era? (I know X&Y, AROBTTH and Parachutes eras have a box set). So far I own Violet Hill (the one that came with NME) and the ETIAW E.P. Are there any others and where can I find them? :) Thanks so much!

...tickets to one of the Hollywood Bowl shows this week was offered as a one-bid prize. My favorite band and my favorite game show... together as one. :D

Just wanted to say that my friend and I are huge fans of Coldplay and that this year we are going to see them in Charlotte, NC on July 3rd. Seeing that we will be celebrating July 4th the next day we've decided to have the majority of our show set to the music of Coldplay and we've titled this years show "glowin in the dark". We have been putting on this show for 20 years now and its grown from about 20 people to about 1000 people last year. We're inviting anyone who will like to travel to mtns of North Carolina on the 4th to come to the little hometown of Cranberry, N.C. and check out the parade, picnic and fireworks for fun. Just throwing that out there.

Has anyone looked at Coldplay's discography Wikipedia page recently? There are some pretty big surprises there. :o http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coldplay_discography Didn't know they were planning on releasing a Greatest Hits album, or that LP6 was going to be released on cassette :laugh3: And someone seems to already know the future chart positions of CB and PoC before they are even released! :P

Well, we had to make lamps in home maintenance class. It's by no means perfect but made with love. :) I put this in the "Coldplay Addiction" thread too but I thought other people might like to see it!

After discussions with various members of a certain thread :chris: :D. We have decided that we would like to run a video of the week club. I'm just curious to hear what made you like them or what part of thier sound appeals to you as fans?, I'm going to be completly honest and say that I don't particularly like them myself, I don't hate them and I'm not coming on here to insult them or try and cause inflamatory comments, I'm a musician and I like to talk to other people who are passionate about music even if we have differing opinions, if we all had the same taste it would be rather boring wouldn't it.

Well towards the end of "For You", when Chris says for you at 4:50 in the song, it sounds like there is a lower toned "for you" in the background of the regular toned "for you". Then at 5:06, it's sounds like the for you is in the background. What I want to know is if it is suppose to sound like that or not. It sounds a tad weird and I'm not sure if it is just a problem with my CD or it's normal like that. Thanks a bunch for any help given!
