Coldplay's Chris Martin joked yesterday (October 24) that Take That made him question his sexuality. The singer, who was presenting Take That mainman Gary Barlow with an award at the Q Awards, opened up about his love of U2 and Take That as a teenager, reports The Sun. Speaking about who his favourite bands were when growing up, Martin said they were: "U2 and five handsome, strapping men from Stoke and Manchester. I'm not afraid to admit it, they made me ask the question 'Am I gay?'" U2 drummer Larry Mullen Jnr later joked that the singer had been right to question his sexuality, saying: "Chris Martin, I have the answer for you — you are gay." LOL :laugh3: …

By Allison Sylte | RMSMC Coldplay has taught me many lessons. That lights will guide me home and ignite my bones. That just because I’m losing doesn’t mean I’m lost. And that if your castles stand on pillars of sand, it’s probably not a good thing, and you definitely don’t want to be king, that is, unless the stars shine for you. But the greatest lesson Coldplay has taught me is that you can be almost universally despised and still sell more than 50 million albums worldwide, win seven Grammys and continue to write the most soul-crushing music since U2 gleefully told us that it’s a “Beautiful Day.” And as much as I hate to admit it, it doesn’t look like Coldplay’s…

There is hardly any news on this, not even the album title, but it seems that Guy is co-producing The Pierces' new album with Rick Simpson, and Michael Brauer (who mixed Viva la Vida) is mixing it. He was also the one to reveal Guy's involvement with a tweet yesterday. "Mixing the upcoming Pierces record. Guy Berryman(coldplay) & Rik Simpson(CP engineer) producing. Songs r great!!" Though searching around also BJ Cole, a pedal steel guitarist, wrote this in his website: "..as well as artists with a more straight ahead pop sensibility such as RHYS WILLIAMS and The PIERCES. The latter being two glamorous and talented young ladies from the USA who's new album is …

Coldplay's Mylo Xyloto: Review BY CHUCK ARNOLD Tuesday October 25, 2011 08:20 AM EDT Hey, it wasn’t enough for them to rule arenas, they want to rule dance floors too! Although they pumped driving rhythms into 2005's under-appreciated X&Y, there's a new swagger to the beats on Mylo Xyloto. The thumping drums that end "Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall" find Will Champion flexing more muscle, while the funky bass on "Major Minus" might make you think that Flea has replaced Guy Berryman. "Paradise," the soaring current single (click here to download), boasts such a hip-hop boom that you halfway expect Jay-Z to drop a verse on it. Rihanna actually does …

With the new album being released and countless reviews streaming in,you cant help but read all the reviews. Some good and some bad. After reading some negative reviews I couldnt help but ask myself the question. Why does it seem like the thing to do to express how much people dislike Coldplay? To me anyways,it seems like a lot of people go out of their way to let it be known how much they dislike the bands music. They go into great detail sometimes too.I think those critics live for the day Coldplay release a new album.Everyone has their critics I understand, yet everyone is a critic.I for one never understood the relevance of a critic. Not just in music but movies, books, etc. It…

Sorry if this has been posted. I searched, and couldn't find it. And I don't know how to embed this video. Coldplay starts at about 57:00 at this link: http://events.apple.com.edgesuite.net/10oiuhfvojb23/event/index.html I like how they wear special MX-era uniforms, but in black especially for this. And Chris says some really really nice things. Enjoy! Also, consider watching Jonny Ive's tribute right before Coldplay. It was really touching. The set was: 1. Yellow 2. Viva la Vida 3. Fix You 4. Teardrop EDIT: It's come to my attention that not everyone can see the video. Can anyone rip it? I'm to feeble with technology to know how. EDIT…

Is anyone listening to them RIGHT NOW live (8pm-ish) in London via the kroq.com feed? They are being interviewed at the XFM studios (I think), by Stryker, a dj with KROQ, and playing acoustic songs (so far Fix You and now IMP). Sorry I can't record it...But if you're on now, go here: http://player.radio.com/player/RadioPlayer.php?version=1.2.12495&station=151

Once upon a time I hated Coldplay, but their latest album 'Mylo Xyloto' contains a brand of non-X-Factor pop that I can't help but love. I used to think Chris Martin was a soft student spokesperson for a new wave of indie music at the end of the nineties. Full of smiles, jokes and flawless interviews, he seemed to be the antithesis of everything Liam Gallagher stood for. I thought he had removed the rebellious heart and soul of rock and roll and stuck a giant Habitat display cushion in its place and I hated him for it. I was, of course, jealous. I grew up in the same city as Chris Martin and watched the rise and rise of Coldplay through breakthrough album Parach…

Hello guys! A friend of mine had this idea: since Coldplay.com has this app where you can make personalized MX covers, we could use them as our profile pictures on Twitter and Facebook tomorrow or during this whole week. I think that its a great way to support the guys and spread the word about the new album :nice: What do you guys think? PS: Coldplayzone's app is awesome too, thats the one I'm using.
