I found this today on youtube. It is a 10 minutes retrospective of the band live throughout the years (the audio doesn't match the video though...). [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X0lIg_vw4BY]Coldplay Through the Years (2000-2011) - YouTube[/ame] I don't think anyone could have predicted ten years ago that the 4 boys of the first clip in this video would be the same 4 men of the end of it

  2. INTERNATIONAL chart toppers Coldplay were so impressed by innovative light show technology being produced by a Honiton business that the band bought part of the company. RB Concepts, which has a registered office in Offwell, teamed up with Coldplay after developing interactive LED light wristbands, which allow audiences to become part of a show. Entrepreneurs Clive Banks and Jason Regler approached the band to see if they would be interested in using the wristbands, Mr Banks told the Midweek Herald that the band not only became the company’s partners in the project but also bought part of the company. He said: “It is huge to be working with Coldplay.” The c…

oldplay are known for their clean-cut image and teetotal singer Chris Martin, but he admits the four-strong band has struggled with alcohol and drug issues. Martin, 34, said: "Success and fame, alcohol and drugs. We've been through all of those things. "They're just pitfalls, and that comes from a lot of travelling and a lot of down time. " He told Absolute Radio breakfast show that the band - who have just released fifth album Mylo Xyloto - rely on each other to get through loneliness on tour, adding: "We split our songwriting credits and everything we get, we split it equally. It means when one of us is having a hard time or a problem, then we all have the best in…

Apologies in advance if this has been done before--I did a search and didn't find anything. What Coldplay song(s) did you initially misinterpret? I am going to go ahead and admit that for the longest time, before I really became a fan and was just singing along to the radio, I thought the Yellow lyrics were "Your skin... oh yeah your skin unfolds." :\ I thought it was a metaphor! Like caterpillar to butterfly... "turn into something beautiful" like a butterfly! :sigh: Better than my friend, though, who thought Chris Martin was saying "I'm stealing... oh yeah I'm stealing forks." :shocked2: Anyone else willing to admit mishearing lyrics? ;)

  12. Inside the making of Coldplay's Mylo Xyloto Coldplay release their fifth album Mylo Xyloto on Monday (24 October). With the record already earning a host of acclaim for its mix of anthemic songwriting, collaborations - including one with Rihanna on Princess Of China - and cutting edge production, Q spoke to some of those involved in making the album to get a unique, behind the scenes perspective on its creation. Producers Markus Dravs, Rik Simpson and Daniel Green; sleeve designers Tappin & Gofto and the band's drummer Will Champion give us their eye witness account of the making of Mylo Xyloto. 14. Taking time out from recording a Live Lounge set in the Blue Bar as part of Radio 1's Student Tour, and playing an intimate gig in the LCR, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin spoke to Concrete's Hannah Britt and Alex Ross, and Livewire 1350's Joe Levell. It’s lovely to meet you Chris. What is it like coming back and playing a small venue? I mean, that was a really small venue that you played this morning. (Coldplay recorded a live lounge for Radio 1 in the Blue Bar). Well it’s wonderful. It’s humbling and it reminds you why you’re doing it. If you still enjoy that, then you’re still in the right job. Do you know what I mean? Without all the smoke and the mirrors and tho…

  15. Chris Martin is a charming guy. Like, very charming. "You're lucky because you're going to have hair your whole life," he says, eyeing the top of my head. "It'll get a bit thinner, but it'll be good. And that is a great blessing." Granted, it's in his best interest to play nice in any interview, and he's had more than a decade to master this dance. But still, sitting in a relatively modest Trump hotel room in downtown Manhattan, Martin seems genuinely engaged, his boyish charm never souring into smarm. The 34-year-old Coldplay frontman's easy affability is even more impressive considering the fact that, only a few hours ago, he was singing and …

  17. I believe, though I could be wrong, that with the release of Mylo Xyloto Coldplay have met the terms of there contract with EMI. Or n simpler terms, once Coldplay release a ceratin number of albums, they can either renew there contract with EMI or go else ware, perhaps even creating there own lable, similar to The Beatles' Apple Records. So what do you think they will do? EMI is having alot of financial problems, but remember, if they were to drop the label the instruments and other equipement provided by the studio would no longer be available. I personally think they're gonna leave, maybe release a live album first. I also think POC is sort of like there last s…

Coldplay dedicate Fix You to Norwich dad’s son Kate Scotter Saturday, October 29, 2011 6:35 AM A Norwich dad has spoken of how Coldplay dedicated one of their songs to his son who died aged just eight days old. Carl Lake, pictured, and his wife Samantha lost Jordan 12 years ago after he was born prematurely. Ahead of Coldplay’s gig at the University of East Anglia on Thursday, Mr Lake spotted the band’s drummer Will Champion outside the union building. The self-employed taxi driver from Heartsease asked if the band would dedicate their chart-topping hit Fix You to their son. And to his surprise, Coldplay, named best act in the world today at the Q awards…

Hey everyone, I have a friend who's going to Europe in january and she's crazy about music and everything so I thought it wouldn't be that bad if I asked her to look for some Coldplay singles since music stores would definitely be one of her aims :P Here in Brazil you can't find singles in stores, only the albums. She's going to Lisbon, Berlin, Paris, Madrid and Barcelona, London and Amsterdam so I was wondering if any of you, foreign coldplayers ( :nice: ), would give me a tip and point me some interesting stores in those cities she could find it since I have no clue. I was wondering if someone can still find singles like yellow and shiver in normal stores? Or the best y…

They no longer share profits equally. Source was an article on here a while back just after the first bits of MX news were surfacing. Their rule of never having anyone else but themselves singing on the album has been broken. They wouldn't split up anymore if a member took drugs/they don't ask about that stuff... "One thing that surprised me was when Nagui asked about the "no drugs" rules, they acted kind of weird. They were like "this rule doesn't exist anymore. we were young, it's a stupid rule blah blah" so Nagui asked if they take some stuff and they answered "we don't talk about that". Junkies haha !" http://coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=79038&p…
