Coldplay has the best opening tracks of any artists I think. All of their opening tracks, excluding Don't Panic, could open up their shows perfectly...and they have. I have seen Square One and Life in Technicolor open up their shows live but Politik would have to be the best.

Coldplay's influence runs far and wide, personally I think it is great to see how many artists from various genres can appreciate Coldplay's work. Aside from the name of the song itself, it is interesting to see how the beat develops from the sample (shortly after "it doesn't matter who you are..."). Nice Dijkshoorn is a famous Dutch man who writes columns and poems. He's very critical of everything, he's negative and he's very... direct, but I kinda like him. When I saw that he wrote something about Coldplay, I was afraid he'd absolutely trash them. I'd figured him to be a hater. He dislikes anything that's popular. But he didn't! He's actually criticizing the haters and readers of OOR Magazine (oor means ear), who generally don't like Coldplay. I was watching 'Parks and Recreation' and during the ads, they showed Emma Stone with the boys.
