It was pretty good. I actually had not seen trailers or anything about it except the one that was shown at the Oscars so I was surprised to learn that it was actually about Stephen Hawking... (I thought it was going to be a love story..)

I just wish they would put The Scientist in the movies though... The sing-along at the end is awesome.

Captain America Civil War 5/10

I think you're the first one I see giving a low rate to Captain America.

Watched it the day it came out, forgot to rate it here:)

Sully: 10/10

This is honestly my new favorite movie! It is so realistic, and does not have any extra filler stuff that makes the movie slow or stray from the point. Tom Hanks is amazing (as always). It is a really intense movie, and it gives you a great appreciation for all who were involved with that incident.

Arrival 8/10

High Rise - 8.5/10

I love that film so much. Can't wait to read the book

Taxi Driver - 10/10

Robert de Niro is great in it. Took me forever to finally watch this movie.

Stunning and historic.

Snowden (by Oliver Stone)

I just finished watching an interview with him. Do you recommend the movie?

It's of course a dramatized story that focuses on Edward's personal character journey and relationships, and all that, but I liked it, especially because it brought the things the NSA can do to the screen and thus turned something that sounds quite abstract if you read about it in the newspaper into actual images that everybody can relate to. 3 years after it was uncovered and now that talk about it has died down, I found the movie a good reminder to the public.

Apart from that educational component, the movie did also keep me hooked movie-wise :)

just finished watching this movie:

F for Fake - 10/10

this was really interesting. Orson Welles was a very talented man, and this sort of meta concept of what we could ever consider to be real is something that has always intrigued me

La La Land -- 9/10

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter — 10/10 (guilty pleasure rating, of course, because the plot and the film in general are a total mess. I like these films bc they're just fun and brainless, kind of like an amusement park ride)

Arrival — 9/10 (one of the most interesting sci fi films I've seen)
