Sherlock Holmes: Abominable Bride 5/10

I found it convoluted and confusing with needless elements throughout. I otherwise have enjoyed all the episodes so far in the Sherlock Holmes series. This was a disappointment.

X-Files The new tv series : So far 9/10

The Revenant 7/10

I think the story is interesting but it is too bloody. I'm maybe biased because I hate does kind of movies. If I don't pay attention to that part I like how the story is developed and the photography is stunning. The direction was excellent, I felt involved in the story.

Thanks for that review. I so want to see this movie because the gritty theme, the landscapes, the period time are all appealing to me, but I also did think it was too bloody and just perhaps even gory (from the trailers and clips saw), so I think Im waiting for it to come to home video...

I don't mind bloody and gory but mostly in a satirical contest or specific genre like Tarantino :D Other than that I don't like to see suffering too detailed portrayed on the big screen. I think we get enough of that in real life reports :/

That's true, we don't need to see it in a movie we're supposed to enjoy! Anyways, the story is good and you'll love the landscapes, whoever directed the photography did a great job.

I watched it last weekend in a cinema. It is such an intense film. The performances (most notably DiCaprio's) are terrific, the cinematography is gorgeous and the story perfectly surrounds you in a magnificent way. It's a very realistic portrayal of survival, anger, love and revenge. I don't mind the gore - if it's supposed to shock, then it has to shock. And this film did. I started shivering all over during the bear attack scene and at the end, during the final fight sequence. It's a very strong film and I give it a solid 8.5/10.

10/10 Cafe de Flore

Not to mention, I adore Vanessa Paradis, but this movie blow me away...

Story is fascinating and beautifully acted.

Some made appropriate comparison with Krzysztof Kieslowski's The Double Life of Veronique, a truly magical movie.

What is even more magical for me is tune, main song in this film... i loved it for ages, this particular song, and it is very important element in this film...well it makes this movie even more magical for me :D

one scene...masterpiece...

when he ask:

are there songs in your life that make you want to crank it up, live, love....???

and than he explains :D

here it is

and here is the official trailer

I might be biased because I love Disney movies (and I'm not ashamed to say it) but I'll rate Zootopia 9/10

It has a lovely message, the animation is fantastic, and the story is well done. It has some funny moments specially those where Flash the sloth is involved.

I recently went with the fam to see Zootopia at the local mall theater. Despite there being a cliche theme and jokes, it actually had a well-constructed plot. There was a twist that i didnt see coming and the last joke in one of the last scenes is the best comic relief. It teaches diversity, makes fun of conservatives, and fits right into the grand Pixar Theory.

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice

All the comments I see about this movie say that either the movie is complete trash or that it's the best movie ever. I personally think it's between okay and decent so I give it a 7.5/10.

Despite the faded down color palette, I think the visuals are great, and there are some cool action sequences too.

However, the movie was very disconnected, had confusing elements, and both Batman and Superman were out of character. I understand that the DC cinematic universe is trying to be alot more dark and serious than Marvel's but that's not an excuse, it's a bad decision when that decision leads to ruining (maybe a bit strong word, but can't think of a better one) a beloved character.

Also, Lex man... Jesse Eisenberg wnt all in with a unique direction, but I'm not entirely sure that was the right direction.

I was disapointed that the reason they fought was not because of their ideal's clashing, but because Lex forced Superman to do it using his mother. That just ruins a great conflict and story.

Batman and Superman's fight is way too short considering that's the freakin title, and superman is shown to be a complete idiot. He's already been shot with a kryptonite gas gernade thing and when he recovers from it, he charges at Batman, despite the fact that he saw Batman was reloading a second one. And believe me, Batman was really slow at reloading it. Heckuld have easily avoided it, but no, just jump at the thing that almost killed you a few minutes ago.

Anyway, later they're mates and they fight with Doomsday with Wonder Woman. And maybe this is just me, but it didn't have that awesome superhero team-up moment where the three work together except for the last moment where they kill him. They just minded their own business, never leading up to that really cool epic moment in all superfero team movies. Avengers, Avengers 2, Winter Soldier, etc.

Also, Superman's death really felt wasted, the delivery was not as emotional as ot was intended to be.

By the way, what's up with the forced Justice League references? Just put that computer file watching scene in the end credits! It felt weird just right between everything happening.

I know I said alot of bad things about this movie (mostly in the spoiler section), but that's really only because you have more stuff to write about things they did wrong than things they did right. Overall, I think it's an decent movie with some flaws. If you're a comics fan, well you're fonna see it anyway. If you're not, I still recommend it. Despite it's faults, it's still a pretty fun ride.

Put SPOILER with these brackets around it: [] at the beginning of the spoiler.

Do the same thing at the end of the spoiler, just with a slash (this slash: /) at the end.

This will put the text that are in between those things in a spoiler.

Hope this helps. :D

Barman V Superman... I have a lot of feelings about this film, and generally they are all bad, I don't know whether to rant or leave it at that.

@Batman Have you seen Batman V Superman yet?

Yes I have, I think it was alright. I give it a 6/10
