I remembered another sign of addiction: The day the first Latina was appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court, I was a political blogger and I asked my editor to decide within an hour if he was going to want me to write something because I was driving, hell or high water, to New Jersey to see Coldplay. He responded in two hours; I wrote the piece in 30 minutes and left skid marks on the road as I took off for New Jersey.

When the instrumental of Talk is played on a TV show and you drop everything you're doing to listen and sing along.

And then you get annoyed when they skip bits.

And they skip bits but they DON'T EVEN GET TO THE GUITAR SOLO!!!

you know you're addicted to coldplay when an instrumental of a Coldplay song is played on a TV Show or Commercial and you say to your friends immediately, "That's a Coldplay song!!!!" :D

This morning I had an extended dream about Chris. We were chatting about his music and I was telling him how much I loved the band's music. Just before the alarm woke me up, Chris and I were having a game of "caps" (balancing beer caps on top of beer bottles and taking turns to see who can knock off the cap by tossing another beer cap). As funny as the situation was, I really wished I could go back to sleep to finish the game!:laugh3:

OR when you watch French TV and about 70 French commercials for 3 hours just to see them perform Magic once :gs:

I think they will do a good set. The producer likes Sky Full of Stars so that will be in. I wonder if they will use this opportunity to read test new tunes from the next album.

When you have an extremely bad-quality version of "A view from the top", where you can hardly make out the vocals, on repeat while studying, because you just love it so much.

When you purposely copy the style of clothing the band wore during the MX tour. Grey jacket, Baby blue t shirt, paint splashed on your trousers, luminous laces and MX/Coldplay patches everywhere.

When you purposefully steer conversation in the direction of music tastes only so that you can say you are a Coldplay fan :smug:
