Difficult to place where Oldplaying is for me anymore. I used to be on board with the it being Viva Era and before, but in hindsight MX is way more alt-rock than the last two eras so...its tough. Also, so many very Oldplaying-esque tracks recently on AHFOD era....

 

I consider all of the following tracks somewhat Oldplay in style:

Major Minus

DLIBYH

Moving To Mars

Wish I was Here

AIMH

Oceans

Fly On (live is best)

All Your Friends

Ghost Story

Fun (but I hate it)

Amazing Day

AHFOD

Up & Up

Hypnotised

 

As a side note: I think Atlas and Miracles are ultimately two tracks with very outstanding guitar work from Johnny, great atmospheres, but with lackluster songwriting and percussion. Both on the cusp of feeling very Oldplay, but justnot a fan of the way they ended up produced.

 

BUT... I would consider the following "newplay" songs absolutely fantastic:

Paradise (especially live)

HLH

ETIAW

Magic

Midnight

Birds

AOAL

True Love (sometimes)

I totally think Major Minus could be an Oldplay song if it wasn't from the production. The live version is amazing, thought. Too bad they won't probably ever play it again.

Always In My Head stands head and shoulders above any other newplay track to me. After that nothing comes to mind right away.

@AMDB9 - Weird ! There are some short snippets of album tracks in it, but I wouldn't have thought that to be a problem. Can you use a proxy to access it ? Uploading took me about 17 hours, so it is a bit difficult to reupload it somewhere else.
