Yeah it does sound like a Christmas song but it's just so syrupy and horrible and I can hardly listen to it. Its so Coldplay by numbers with little or no craft or invention, yuk. Christmas Lights is 100 times better.

It veers on the cheesy a million times, thats true. But I think the lyrics are still poignant and sincere and the ending is quite nice too. Listening to it sometimes I feel like when looking at those photos where a different figure appears according to how you view it: so if I view it a certain way its cheesy and boring, if I view it the other way its a sweet endearing ballad about the end of a journey, finally an "amazing day", a reunion after much struggle.

I just can't get into, just feels so forced and it's like a parody of Coldplay. It's just not that good a song either. Honestly think it's the worst Coldplay song I've heard, worse than XMTS.

Well being a fan of XMTS, its I guess in a way heartwarming to know it´s not everyone´s least favourite song from AHFOD haha :)

I just have to say this. Never in my life, has any song or cover nonetheless that I have ever ever listened to move me to tears like yours did. This has to be the most beautiful cover of any song ever. Ever. I am visibly shaken after watching it. I cried because of its message, it's meaning, it's beauty and its everything. You sir deserve to be discovered and made one of the biggest artists on the planet. Most times, I don't click on covers but the comments here seemed to be telling me to. I was just gonna post my review on the song in general, but now I'm posting my review on your cover instead. You did what Coldplay hasn't done in years. They make great music, sure, meaningful music sure, and very profound music. But I've never thought I could say this about any artist, you have just bested Coldplay. You topped them with this cover. You did Coldplay better than Coldplay did Coldplay with this song. Your version sounds better than theirs. For that you absolutely get a round of applause. I was clapping in my room after this was over. I sure as hell hope I get to hear more from you, hopefully as a well-known professional in the music industry. Million stars out of 5.

I promptly bought your two albums and EP, you guys have brilliant work and I would not be surprised in the least if you were to be discovered and became one of the greatest artists of the decade. Cheers, guys. Thank you for such great and powerful music.

Amazing Day is top 3 on album definetely.

Just a beautiful song overall. The chord progression is even more heavenly than on "Miracles."

Who cares if the lyrics aren't that innovative? The vocal delivery, melody, strings, and guitar make up for them.

I'm with you, it's a horrible, clichéd, cheesy song. One of the worst Coldplay songs I've heard.

When you had listened to Amazing Day somewhat unenthusiastically many times before and even thought it was a bit cheesy and then you listen to it on an actual "amazing day" where something wonderful happened and you find yourself tearing up at the bridge :)

The way Chris sings in this song is amazing. Especially in the live performances we can see he's feeling what he's singing. It's definitely one of my favorite songs from this album and I'll listen to it any time of the day!

I love the live version of this song, his voice sounds incredible. Especially the 'I always want to feel this way...Amazing Day' build up. I wish the album version had the 'Both of us say' bit he sings live. I'm not complaining though, I love everything about this song. Guy on the bass is killing it.

Yeah the title is hehe But the song to me is very much about a couple kinda finding each other or being able to be with each other after ages or after a long struggle. But yeah it can be applied to a lot of situations I guess :)
