Hey, I'm watching this show where they are showing what goes into setting up a Coldplay show. This was filmed at the show in St. Paul, Minnesota. They have film of the Coldplay show so far have showed Clocks and Viva La Vida. Basically they are going behind the scenes showing what they do when setting up before the show and then taking it all down after the show. They said Coldplay had 11 semis for their show. Anyways, I have DirecTV and it aired on the DIY network. If you get a chance to watch it. Please do!

I was thinking the other day how much the music of Coldplay has been synoymous with the current decade. Not just in the sense of the band's huge commercial success and critical acclaim, but how much the songs reflected the mood of the moment. For me, I look at the songs Yellow (the song that got me hooked on their music) to Viva La Vida (the song that made me a real fan) as bookends for the current decade: Yellow, 2000: start of the decade. An optimistic, upbeat song that reflected the mood of the year 2000. Does anybody have any pictures they took of shirts bought from the Coldplay.com store/concert booth? I've seen a few in person, and they're VERY different than what's listed. But that was awhile ago, and new stuff has been added. And the prices have gone way down...

Last July Coldplay performed at Rock Werchter (Belgium). All the artists there were asked to paint a mask that would be sold for charity. When they asked Coldplay, Chris spend all the time he could and painted a whole canvas :nice:. It will be sold tonight. If anyone is interested, I just found out you can bid online. I decided yesterday that i was going to take a break from listening to music from the boys for a few days. I started this morning and i haven't listened to more then a few notes of LITi ii by mistake. I am scared that i am going to get sick of them (which right now i can't even fathom happening, but i just want to be safe)) if its all i listen to like it is now :P Has anyone else done this? is it a good idea? do you think it will make me appreciate them more when i listen again? or there is no point in doing it? and how long do you think i should do it for? lol lots of questions! but i want to see what other coldplayers think about this!! Heads up....I just went on Amazon.com and ordered the 2010 Coldplay calendar. The website is showing that the pictures are either from their live shows and/or videos and photoshoots. I won't know exactly until the calendar arrives. There is another listing for a Coldplay wall calendar but it's not available at the moment so there are no pics available and neither is a price listed. Last year, there was a listing for a Coldplay calendar but it never became available, at least not in the US. So, Coldplay fans. You all love Coldplay... You love Will You love Guy You also love Jonny... But, what exactly would you do to spend one (yes, just one) night with Chris? Just curious to know, and tell me if a thread like this exists already, does anyone feel deflated after the hype of VLV and the concerts ? Sure they're the best band on Earth, but that doesn't mean they're perfect. Can you find one thing you don't like about them? For me, I find it strange that ever since VLV came out, it's almost as if they forgot Parachutes existed. The only thing they seem to play play from that album is Yellow nowadays.
