Hi guys!!! Last Monday an Italian newspaper published a brief interview with violinist Davide Rossi. I'm Italian and live in Italy, so I promptly went to the newsagent's and bought the paper. In

My special edition CD came early...so it's just leaked inside my house ?

I'm pretty sure this clip has leaked before, it's an early version of Adventure of a Lifetime.

Edit:

Here's a shorter version of Legends that leaked a while back.

Super excited about the space theme. As if I didn't know from the whole 'Music of the Spheres' thing. Brings me back to one of those R#42 posts where Chris asks whoever to 'build me a solar system'. Ever since then, I was eager to hear maybe something like an updated X&Y with space rock.

I've had this in the back of my head for years. I so badly want this to come to fruition.

Okay I'm officially back too. Happy LP9 hype era vibes to everyone!

The original Legends has been fully uploaded to YouTube!

You know what? Legends > AOAL. But maybe is just the hype lol

I think AOAL reigns supreme over Legends. The vocals are both impressively unique and awful. Imagine the intense backlash that the band would receive if they released this as the lead single to AHFOD...

I didn't know about Legends until today ?. I like it but it sounds more like a remix to me. I'm still waiting for more findings from all Coldplayers! Kind of hate that almost all of you are sleeping right now and my night is just beginning lol ?

Do this look like constellations?!

As a lead single AOAL is def the better choice, that I agree with.

Yes! One of them looks like the Big dipper.

Right?!! I thought I was going mad!! Doesn’t really mean anything, but it’s still a nice detail right?!
It sure has to do with Space, spheres, stars and who knows what more!!

LP9..!!!!  It has begun!!!!

The speedy detective work that went onto this cryptic case is wonderful. Shows how powerful this community is! LP9 is just around the horizon?

i am very excited about the clothing of this era. Jonny, guy, will and Chris masked as Aliens??

With the discovery of Alien Radio, I can't help but think of two other songs - strangely, it's these two songs that belong to that group of pre-Mylo songs that were allegedly part of the space rock album before Mylo, two songs that share similar lyrical themes of escape and refugees.

Aliens has the lyric "Diamonds ate the radio"

Moving to Mars has the lyric "and I heard it on the radio"

This raises the question - why would you include a radio reference that seems to jump out of nowhere? I don't know what the MTM lyric means but the Aliens lyric seems so random that it has to be a reference to something. Since there was an old song called Alien Radio that was unreleased but repurposed for today it seems to connect the three together.

Okay so as a native finnish speaker the carousel story sounds to me like lyrics of one of the upcoming songs. The story has many repeated words and story sounds just like it could be coldplay themed.

What do you think?

Here is the Finnish part translated in English. I did my very best, but ofc it may have some mistakes.

I wonder if there are hidden meanings behind clips like this one... some of the audio clips are obviously about space, spheres, planets, the music of the spheres, etc. but then there are ones like this that seem completely unrelated.

The "don't let go" and "don't ever let go under any circumstances" bits remind me of lyrics from O and Us Against The World. Obviously "don't let go" is reminiscent of "don't ever let go" from O and "don't ever let go under any circumstances" is reminiscent of "whatever you do, don't let go" from Us Against The World. The moral of the story is to hold on tight, lest you end up like the poor child who fell off the carousel. I wonder if the similarity is a coincidence, or if it's entirely on purpose.

This is a nice theory. I've always figured that ALIENS and Moving to Mars are meant to tie into one another. Both could be interpreted as songs about refugees, and the title Moving to Mars is literally named after a documentary that Mat Whitecross made about refugees. The ALIENS video tells a story about refugee aliens escaping their home planet and the lyrics of the song include lines that could reference communication across outer space ("all the ETs are phoning home," "call me," "call this line").

I do wonder if more songs like this are on the way, and if Alien Radio is indeed a song on MOTS, it could share those themes.

Oh, and remember one of Chris's Instagram live streams last year when he played a bit of David Bowie's Life On Mars? I wonder if that was on purpose and meant to tie in with the songs he was working on for MOTS... he's definitely a Bowie fan and I wouldn't be surprised if the rest of the band is the same way, otherwise they wouldn't have played Heroes at a bunch of AHFOD tour shows.

And, of course, this happened:

Just spotted this on Rik Simpson's insta. It was posted two days ago!

Alien Radio.jpg

Guy Berryman changed his insta profile pic, giving me super b-movie retro alien movie vibes. A bit like the Talk video.  I wonder if it'll be a vintage look that ties in to that but follow on from Everyday Life?

someone tried to play the code we aren't sure about yet:

this was actually the first thing I thought when I saw that code but I thought it would sound rubbish lol buuut it actually sounds a bit like the Fall of Man

what do you all think?

Could each individual line be a letter? So starts woth a three letter word, then one letter, one letter, four letter, pause, four, three... Tried to work it out, but the two single letter words next to each other draws a blank

The Rik Simpson pic genuinely relates to a cake being made by a budget supermarket, that's a rip off.of a cake from a fancy supermarket. Although if Coldplay do release a song about birthday cakes, I'll legit eat my space hat.
