Okay, so many coldplay fans are U2 fans as well. I know i am. As some my now U2 has a new album coming out in March. This probably means that they will be touring. If coldplay decides to come to my town the same time or around U2 does. Who should I go for?

Everyone else having this problem? I just knew something would screw me this morning and not let me get tickets. Coldplay just isn't worth seeing live if you're not right up close, changes the whole show. Ok, they're worth it, but it's not nearly as good....

I posted this in the US third leg thread, but I thought it required its own thread! Anyway, I was reading the new IQ article, and at the end it says: (Thanks to ColdplayBirdsFly for the image) http://www.ilmc.com/images/stories/iq_pdfs/iq_21.pdf They're coming back!!! :D I'm guessing it'll be between Australia and the Europe stadium dates, that's a huge chunk of time that they've left open so far...

I am looking for fun people who are interested in travelling to one of the cities in Coldplay's upcoming North American tour in the summer. We would meet up, get to know the city, watch the concert, etc... If you're not doing anything during those months (like me, will have graduated high school with nothing to do), reply or PM me!

I was at the Grammys where Chris Martin performed Lost!+ and than Viva la Vida. Lost!+ was great. I'd have preferred that it was just Lost! but okay I can't complain. Viva la Vida on the the other hand was not so great. I'm not sure what key Chris was going for but it really just did not sound that great. If you watched let me know what you thought. You can view the video on Youtube by searching: Coldplay Grammys 2009. See you at Violent Hill.

I was at the Halloween concert in Washington, DC and during "Lovers in Japan" I was just blown away by the video they had playing in the background. It just fitted the song perfectly. I searched youtube and other sites to see if I can find it, but unfortunately without success. Does anyone know where I could find it? Thanks!

Coldplay's live sound has really gotten "full" sounding over the years - especially with the VLV tour. If you listen closely, you can hear original tracks being played from the album: tambourines, organ, synths, guitars, even vocals. What does everyone think about this??

Pete Lusby is currently touring the world with Coldplay, promoting Oxfam’s campaigns to concert-goers. Joined by teams of dedicated volunteers, Oxfam are raising awareness of, and advising of how we can all take action to overcome, poverty. Coldplaying.com caught up with Pete, via email, to find out more about life on tour, volunteering and Oxfam. Hi Pete! Thanks for sparing some of your time to answer some questions. How did you become involved with Oxfam? I'd always known about it from the Oxfam shops in Britain. I learnt more through a Development Studies course at university.. and seeing Oxfam at Glastonbury Festival. I started out working for Oxfam as an i…

Australian rock promoter Michael Chugg has been named international promoter of the year at a global music touring conference. The veteran promoter saw off worldwide competition, including industry giants Live Nation and AEG Live, to take out the prestigious award at the 2009 Pollstar Awards in the United States on Friday. Chugg was the only Australian promoter to be nominated in the awards, which are presented at the annual Concert Industry Consortium conference in Los Angeles. He said he was thrilled to have received the most votes to claim the gong. "I'd like to thank the staff of Live Nation and AEG for voting for me," Chugg said with a wry smile during hi…

Based on sound, appearance, and how they act on stage, do you prefer the style from Live 03 Tour, or how they do things now? Feel free to explain. :)

I know this performance was quite awhile ago but I was just watching some video of it. The guys come on stage at different times before rehearsal starts, and it looks like Chris is the only one to acknowledge the audience. When Guy comes out,the audience cheers and it looks like he doesnt even smile. Did anyone see this live.Just curious

How does Coldplay produce the main riff in "Lovers in Japan" throughout the song? At the beginning, Chris plays the piano riff but then leaves to sing. It keeps going! Is it a backing track that the sound-mixers put in or what? Here is a good example of it. It happens when they play Lost! too. Not trying to fight the performance or anything, I'm just curious. Hi, I've seen Coldplay once, and I love The Scientist. The thing that I didn't like about the show was that they played that song acoustic, and not with piano. I mean, piano has been invented for this song! Do they always do this, or was it just a coincidence? (Ahoy, 2nd of October 2008)?

Hey guys, I've been a Coldplay fan for a while now, recently have just fell in love, obsessed is the word I guess. I haven't been able to listen to another artist for 5 months now. I have the Toronto show recorded in HD on my DVR from the X&Y tour and am looking for some shows to put on my iPod. I have the Brixton show from the Viva La Vida tour, really want X&Y songs live. Thanks!
