when i saw coldplay live in hartford, ct, Chris played this weird, multi-color, mini-keyboard thingy during 'i'm a believer'. It was the coolest thing ever! It like made a whistle sound. I noticed he used it at a concert in Melbourne too, but what the heck is it? Does it have a name? Anyone know!?!?

Hi all, I've seen a couple of people post things about being upgraded or seeing others get upgrades at shows and was just wondering what I could do to improve my chances of getting upgraded myself. I'm going to 3 shows this summer, and have AWFUL tickets for 2 of them- lawn and the uppermost, farthest section in an arena. Any ideas/tips are appreciated!! Thanks!

...they *will* make it up to you! newbie on this board...i've been looking around on a laggy comp to find the right place to post this, so you might have to move it... i saw them at hartford this past saturday night. chris was MORE than apologetic for the last time they were there and he obviously felt cruddy for having the band/him put on a not-so-perfect show last time they were there. i had never heard of coldplay back at that time, so i have no idea how "bad" it was". but he brought up the subject more than once during the show, and said they'd make it up to the crowd.......and did they ever. i'm 42 and a new coldplay fan thanks to my sons. this could have…

I thought this would be a good thread. Everybody could (if they want to) post their tweeter name and then their concert date(s) they will be attending so all coldplayers can stay updated on the concerts.

Ive never been to an outdoor concert for Coldplay. What should I expect? For those that have been to both, what do you think of the outdoor concerts compared to the indoor ones?

the oracle won't answer me so I'll ask the people who actually know things. I'm going to a concert on June 15th and i was wondering how far the lovers in japan butterflies go out into the crowd. I have really far seats and am afraid that i wont be able to take any home with me.

When performing the hardest part live, do they ever play it in full, i.e like the recorded version? I have attended a couple of shows on viva tour, and they have performed (much to my adoration) the hardest part acousticly, as in chris on the piano. I havent seen any vids of them doing so after searching but id love to see this. Any thoughts, Thanks guys

Alright so i set my alarm this morning to wake up at 9:55am and make like a zombie to my computer(presale for the Pittsburgh show starts at 10am) I hop on the computer and keep clicking my refresh button until i see presale lit up. It directs me to the next page which i select ticket rush and paste in my passcode of "STRINGS" thinking ide get the best seats i select 2 under the highest priced amount tickets (97). I enter in the security key and click submit. Now this had taken me approx 10 seconds(that might actually be long , possibly 5-8 seconds if we get technical). Anyhow guess what seats i was given for being 'first in line'.... Section 6 row K..... Wai…

Hey everyone! I went to my first Coldplay show back in 2003 and have seen them 7 times since. I'm going to the upcoming Chula Vista (San Diego) show in July by myself! My friends have had enough of seeing them live (I know! Who could get tired of seeing them!) and couldn't afford to buy another ticket and make someone go with me! Has anyone out there ever gone to a show by themselves? I feel like people are going to think I'm a loser!

So last summer when John Mayer was on tour he put out a message to all the fans encouraging them to record the concerts and send him the links, which he would then post to his website for all the other fans to download. I was just curious if anyone knows coldplay's stance on audio recordings of their shows. Do they allow it? Do they care? Will they disown you? Anyone have any thoughts? I'm going to the show in Toronto this july and would love to try and make a recording of it. I know nothing about doing so but figured couldn't hurt to try. Maybe we'll get lucky and someone who knows what they're doing will be going.

Hey guys, My friends and I went to the November 3rd show in Detroit in 2008, and we absolutely loved it. We bought tickets and we are ready to go again on June 2nd in Detroit. My question is, do you think the setlist will be pretty different than the first concert? Obviously new songs have came out, so I assume some Prospekt's March will be on there. I'm just hoping to see a little mix up so we don't hear practically identical concerts.

I volunteered at a Coldplay Concert last fall for Oxfam. It was truly a great experience, and it has changed my life forever. I made this video to try to get more people to volunteer. You get to see a great band for free, and you sign up people to stop Poverty and Injustice around the world. What Could Be Better? Well this might be what is going on, I would hope Coldplay wouldn't stoop to this but they obviously have no grasp on their own ticket sales. http://www.reuters.com/article/entertainmentNews/idUSTRE52F0HH20090316

Hi, Does anyone know the name or have a link to the background video that was played during The Scientist on the Twisted Logic tour. It started in space and zoomed through, magnifying every few moments onto earth, then two people on the grass, then their skin, its cells, atoms, and so on. Thank you, Ken

Hey, sorry if im threading in wrong place here, but im a newbie! Does anyone know if there are to be any more support acts for the wembley shows in september? Obviousley i know that the main support is Girls aloud and then jay-z, im going to go to either one but the 3rd acts on the bill may possibly sway my decision either way. I am not sure wether there has been an anouncement on this but if not then are their any whispers going about??:confused: Thanks guys.

Ok, I might go to my first Coldplay concert ever when they come to Houston, but my dad is insisting on taking my youngest brother. He is 9 years old and so he is fairly short, the question is will he be able to enjoy it or is it just gonna be a waste of time for him (and waste of money for us)? I know this is a kinda random question but I just need it resolved so my dad will actually buy me my tickets  Thanks, W.K. Note: Sorry if this is in the wrong place, this seemed like the right place to put it and once again, thanks.
