From Parachutes to X&Y I think it is obvious how much Chris voice as changed and progressed.I think during the A Rush period is where he started to get vocal lessons or something like that to help his voice. I think the way his voice sounded in those periods really made the songs on the album and each album. I think on all 3 albums there is a different sound to his voice.Which i think make each album unique in their own way. Do any of you prefur a certain way Chris voice sounded or sounds? Ive been listening to a lot of the A Rush Of Blood to the Head songs and X&Y songs and i kind of like the way his voice sounded on the A Rush tracks. I mean i love how his voice…

Kanye fans least intelligent; Swift, Sia and Coldplay score big Kanye West, Taylor Swift and Sia The Australian branch of career search company The Job Factory surveyed 498 former clients using an IQ test, and at the end of the assessment simply asked which popular musician they preferred from a list of 10. There were 25 questions in all. The findings, although not indicative of a potential employee’s usefulness, can determine if job seekers are good at problem solving skills, the company said in a statement. Craig Binny, director of Job Factory, said, "While judging a potential employee based on their favourite singer is not really a good way to pick staf…

Coldplay: 'Glastonbury Is A Homecoming Gig' 16TH FEBRUARY 2016 Coldplay are now set to be the only act in Glastonbury’s 46-year history to headline the Pyramid Stage four times. In a new interview due to be published in this Friday's freeNME magazine, Chris Martin said, Worthy Farm is "the closest thing to a homecoming gig" the band have got. "I’d play there every day if we were allowed to," he added. Here, in an excerpt from the interview, Chris and the band discuss what it’s actually like to be onstage at such a humungous gig, and why for years it was always so tough to actually enjoy the moment. Can you actually see anything from the stage when you’re up the…

Is there a reason why chris's voice sounds incredibly shaky on all the performances I've seen them do? I watched my live 2003 dvd yesterday and i was amazed at the difference in quality.... right now it sounds like his voice is just overused or tired?? or are the recordings bad quality and someone who was there can tell me hes doing fine?

I am a commercial and music video director that lives in Los Angeles. You can check out some more of my work at these two sites: Site1 - Site2 - Tell us about HFTW. What is the story behind the video? Chris asked me to imagine a video for HFTW that takes place in India and I did just that! The song has such an exuberant life affirming feel to it that I wanted the visuals to m…

  11. I have been a member on this message board for 13 years. COLDPLAY were a group I really liked until they become complete and utter sell outs. Since the Viva la vida album they don’t play instruments. Can anyone defend them anymore. Been to 6 of their concerts. 3 in Manchester 3 In Barcelona I even ended up moving from the UK to Barcelona due to meeting someone on here. I am so disappointed with the group. Hope Chris martin … wakes up one day without a voice. Complete and utter sellout he is.

  12. Hi all, I'm sure some of you will be interested in the extremely rare item I have for reluctant sale.... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/272138963435?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 I am quite skint right now as my partner is suffering from fibromyalgia and unable to work so sadly selling items I would rather not part with and would like it to go to an appreciative home. Please get in touch if you have any questions.

  13. I'm searching for Coldplay performances that involved an accompanying orchestra for a friend who likes classical music. So far the only one I found is Politik at the Grammys 2003. Does anyone know of other Coldplay performances with an orchestra ? (Just to be clear, I'm not looking for orchestral covers of Coldplay, of which there are plenty, but performances where the actual band was present !) Thanks !

  14. How Coldplay Inspired A Korean Entrepreneur To Disrupt The Concert Business Jaeseok Lee has been listening to British rock band Coldplay for as long as he can remember. He’s such a devoted follower, Lee used to spend his free time managing Coldplay’s Korean Facebook FB +0.05%and fan pages. Frustrated that Korean fans couldn’t lure big, mainstream artists with the promise of blockbuster ticket sales, Jaeseok Lee came up with a simple way of removing risk for artists, and concert promoters: connect them with fans who can demonstrate demand and show a commitment to buying tickets. The Seoul-based startup is essentially a crowd-sourcing platform for concerts. More than …

Which song or Coldplay related event made you cry much? Fans often relate tears to Coldplay music so I`d like to hear what happens inside of us when we cry to their music or may be an interview, concert, anything. What`s behind that?

  19. Music industry calls for action over secondary ticketing sites Rock band Coldplay and managers of acts including Ed Sheeran, Elton John, Blur and Radiohead have signed an open letter to the government calling for action over secondary ticketing sites. Published in The Times, the letter says fans are being "ripped-off by touts who anonymously exploit fair ticket prices via online ticket marketplaces". It urges the government to put "the public's interests before the touts". A government consultation on the resale of tickets closes on Friday. "As artist managers, we deplore the increasing industrial-scale abuse and insider exploitation of tickets for musi…

  21. THE INTERVIEW: AT HOME WITH COLDPLAY'S GUY BERRYMAN How would you describe your style at home? I love different styles of interior design – farmhouse, Scandinavian, mid-century, industrial….. but its important to me that the furnishings on the inside of a house match the character of the building. As I live in a Cotswold-stone country house my choice of style tends to be antique painted furniture – albeit a mixture of British, French and Scandinavian. What is your favourite room in your house and why? Like most people, I think I spend most of my time in the kitchen. I spend a lot of time working on my laptop so I find myself at my refectory style kitchen table w…

  24. Okay so I actually wanted to post this in the Oldplayer thread, but then this kinda got ouf of control so I felt that I would like to address more people with this. This post might be full of typos because I'm too tired to care. I'm not very good with words so I try to somehow get my point through without sounding like a retard: I've been observing this community for a while now, and there are always people who feel like they're on a fan forum that's filled with people that actually hate Coldplay. You've got Oldplayers who love Coldplay's older stuff and hate everything past 2008, Newplayers who like their newer stuff and don't even know Coldplay's older stuff,…

  25. I came up with this idea last fall while in class, an Alternate Coldplay Universe, where they still wrote every song the did here, but they were grouped differently, according to how they sounded (piano songs grouped together, mainly-guitar songs grouped together, etc.) and that's how they were released as albums. I thought maybe this could help us in the wait for LP5. As we 'travel back in time' and watch the band's music unfold a little differently. Is the idea pointless? Of course it is! Are we anxious Coldplay fans needing something to do? Of course we are! Some might think this 'series' is kinda dumb, but I wanted to see if anyone would be interested in reading what …
