Chris Martin is a fan of one direction also. I really hope this isn't just an album full of pop songs. I want the best!

Hes also a fan of U2, but no one talks about that....

i agree 100% with Getithom: STOP LOOKING FOR SHIT TO COMPLAIN ABOUT.

In a less contentious note, I really do not understand why there is so much mystery from the band. I miss the days when we got Prospekt's posts during the recording process and even little videos with hints from the band themselves. They need to build up the hype!

The only plausible reasons I have to answer is

a) they aren't at the stage in producing where they can even release teasers. This I deem unlikely since it appears they are actually around 60-80% done.

b) they're gonna release the album/single all at once with no hype beforehand. A situation I see that fits the bill is all of us waking up on a Monday morning and seeing an MV from the band out of the blue. The more likely of the guesses I have.

to add also, I don't think they necessarily have to build hype. Coldplay are 6 albums deep and at this point ppl have made up their minds/opinions on the band and their music. Hype would only be for existing fans to enjoy, as I don't think it would really attract any new ones at this point of their career.

It's funny that a lot of people (myself included) are criticizing lp7 when we don't even know what it'll sound like. [emoji23] now i say screw it, whatever happens, happens. I'm going buy their new cd anyway.

Now we're just looking for things to worry about. It's going to be okay, guys.

Eeeeeeeeeeeeexactly!!!

Guys, we really do need to calm down

I think the news that there is going to be a release soon has hit everyone's inner-fan nerves. That's good, though. All this anxiety is part of the process. Watch Coldplay prove us all wrong and it does turn out to be AROBTTH 2.0 with 3-4 grammy winning songs. That would be a good knee slapper.

I still have faith in this band... something tells me that Coldplay are making an honest effort to release an album that they will be remembered by. Whether it's the last record of their career or not, LP7 is the conclusion of something and why not finish the chapter with something memorable? I hope I'm not being too optimistic but we may be surprised

I think that we only hope LP7 won't be remembered by being their worst

Honestly with all these rumors I don't have the same existing feeling that I used to have with every album they released

A voice is whispering in my ear me that A Head Full Of Dreams will be similar to Viva La Vida.

The only album drops I've been around for are my two least-favorite Coldplay albums, so please let this happen!

I know that feeling, I have only been around (not in the forum, but in terms of knowing Coldplay) for the release of my least favorite album Ghost Stories. Wish I could have witnessed the AROBTTH to X&Y transition time ! It must have been awesome.

Hmm interesting. Why would you think of that? :P

It's good that he's back in the game again!

Can't wait to hear the violin rhythm on one of the band's songs. It should be very exciting!

That would be great. [emoji2][emoji106]

I don't know if this is along the lines of what you were talking about, but a pseudo-classical song would be pretty cool

I very much hope that Waltz In B Minor (Radio Dial) is a single. That title and what it implies musically sounds amazing!!!!!!!

When i saw the title of that song, i thought the new album was going to be influenced by classical music, but now, i don't know what to think, hopefully we hear that song someday. [emoji2]

Me too! Their pure rock sound arranged with strings and brass ....what would be more volcanic ! I have a feeling it's going to be big! [emoji291] oh my god oh my god ...its coming...stay calm everyone...[emoji38]

Coldplayzone found 'Waltz In B Minor' to be related to Mylo Xyloto. It was mentioned somewhere in the Mylo Xyloto lyric booklet or something.

I believe that song goes hand in hand with Aiko no?

AHFOD is being talked about on this general music forum : Ukmix.org.
