Maybe inspired by their experiences with including all those different flags on their AHFOD tour (and sometimes getting in trouble with it)

Funny they have a b-side for a 16 track double album hahaha.

 

I mean maybe this one is just their least fave and they wanted to have an evenly weighted double album. Flags sounds political, maybe similar to All Your Friends?

My guess, like others, is that this track used to fit in where Orphans was. So my guess is a more band-driven song that has a lot of acoustic guitars and political lyrics.

Flags sounds so good! I love the part where Chris sings about talking to his former self because I write to my past and future self quite often.

Sounds like Flags and Orphans should be on the same album together i.e LP9.

Don't have a proper link but if you have a VPN (even a free one, I use Hola on Firefox) and don't want to wait, you can set your Spotify account as if you were in Japan and then listen to Flags through the web player.

 

That song is really nice btw, really interesting to see if the more mainstream LP9 will follow the path of Orphans and Flags.
