October 2013 was another month full of Atlas-news, a lot of Chris news and very little news of the other members of Coldplay.

Atlas
At the 15th of October Coldplay places an announcement at the website and Twitter that they will be honored with the Hollywood Song Award. Atlas will be played for the first time live at the Hollywoord Film Awards, held at the 21st of October at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. Chris will performing Atlas alone. The other bandmembers won’t be joining him.

Fans were spamming Anchorman with all kinds of question about this performance, like, will there be a live stream. Unfortunally there was only a live stream of the red carpet ceremony, which Chris of course was avoiding. There wasn’t a live stream of the ceremony itself. Fans were collecting pcitures and small video’s to share it with other fans. Finally at the 23th of October there was a full performance of Atlas on Youtube. Chris was making jokes during his performance over method writing and hoped the song will bring the Games to Londen. He ended his performance saying he fucked up the end.

At the 16th of October the first TV-commercials of the Hunger Games: Catchting Fire were released. The first TV-commercials was already featuring Atlas.

Stamps for Phil
Achnorman posted a message on the website and twitter, asking fans to send him a letter or a postcard, because he was starting a stamp collection. Everyone who is sending a letter or postcard has to include their postal address. One of the senders will receive a bag with Coldplay goodies. The lucky person will be picked from all senders before the 9th of November. At forums and Twitter everyone could read how many fans are sending letters and postcards and what kind of stamps they were sending. I guess Phil has a beautiful start of his collection.

Concert Jay-Z
In the night of the 11th of October there were appearing messages of a surprise act during the concert of Jay-Z. Chris Martin appeared on stage. They’re singing ‘Heart of the City (Ain’t No Love)’ together. Among the real Chris fans, there was a little hype explosion, because it seemed like Chris was wearing ‘ridiculous tight’ pants. A small inspection followed. The following day there was an other explosion on the internet, because it turned out that Jay-Z and Chris had taken the tube to the concert. They were accompanied by Timberland. Both men showed they love to do what every other human beings would also love to do.

Whatever It Takes wine
The Whatever It Takes wines were launched on the 7th of October. The Whatever It Takes wines are wines which are produced in a collaboration between Whatever It Takes and some celebrities like David Bowie, George Clooney, Penelope Cruz and Coldplay. The wine of Coldplay is a rosé, which tastes like intense fruits with well balanced acidity. A part of the money which is raised from selling the wines are going to Whatever It Takes, an organisation fighting against poverty.

Busy schedule and spare time for Chris
Chris wasn’t doing nothing in October. He travelled from LAX to London, so he could work for LP6. There were several meetings with fans and at one occasion he didn’t deny that there could be a gig at the end of the year. We all know that wasn’t an empty promise.

Chris gave his Love button a few times to a fan, what made other fans wondering where they could get those Love buttons. Chris seems to have lots of them.

In London he visited a gig of Bruno Mars and he donated a pair of shoes to bid on for the Small Steps Project. The Small Steps Project helps providing children which are living on municipal rubbish dumps around the world with emergency aids, shoes and food.

Back in Los Angeles Chris was enjoying time with his children. They went to a gig of Katy Perry, were they shared their popcorn with other visitors and they were seen in an attraction park, the Santa Monica Pier, riding rollercoasters and stuff. He was also seen, alone, at a gig of Kanye West at the Staples Centre.

New picture
At last, there was a new picture released by Andy Gotts. Not sure what was the occasion, but the picture definitely belong to this review:

Actually this is not a real Coldplay review, but more a Chris review. There wasn't much news from the other guys.

So, please let me know if you see incorrect things or are missing things, i will change it then. Thanks!

Thanks for the review!

It is true that during times where Coldplay aren't out and promoting around the world, we mostly hear/see Chris (except at the Bakery, I mean)
