  1. Hello guys, can anyone point me out to some links of high quality pictures of the band singing LiT ii during VLV Tour (preferably Latin American leg) - I know I saw some pictures of the screen full of color some days ago, but can't find them now...THANKS!!!

  2. I don't think we'll see Christmas lights released until the X-factor is out of the way. Coldplay are smart enough to realise no decent song has won Christmas no.1 for a long time since X-factor came along. 2010 may be different, since there's a Twitter/ Facebook campaign for the Pogue's Fairytale of New York to win - seeing as it's the 10th anniversary of Kirsty's passing. I would love that song to be no.1, but I'll predict Coldplay won't release their Christmas lights this year either.

I heard Chris likes Woody Allen's movies...but which ones? Let's make a list!

In the 60 Minutes Interview you can actually see Chris reading David Copperfield by Charles Dickens...Anybody knows what other books are on his or the band reading list?

Does anyone have: A cover of 'Shining Light' by Ash? Cover of 'Songbird' by Oasis? Just Chris doing 'Many Rivers To Cross?' Anyone?

Hey! This was just on a minute ago. Sung by some girl REEEEEALLY slowly on a piano. It was... interesting. Just okay - definitely not GOOD. But definitley not bad, either...just interesting. Will look for vid. Post if find it. :) --------------------------------- Performance: http://www.rickey.org/?p=34369 Wednesday night's (March 3) episode of "American Idol" was, without a doubt, the best episode of the season so far. That's not to say it was perfect (Haeley Vaughn's version of Miley Cyrus' "The Climb" saw to that), but there were a number of instantly memorable (and occasionally jaw-dropping) highlights. In addition to Crystal Bowersox's triumphan…

  9. Apparently the song Chris was talking about being the best song ever is 'Fun', not 'Lukas' like we thought. Natalie mentions it in an article: "The track from, Come To Life, is called Fun and the Torn singer told us about the first time she heard it: "When I went into the studio and he said, 'I’ve finished the song', and he sang it to me, I nearly did one of those ugly cries because it’s so beautiful." The full article is posted on the front page here. Here's Natalie performing 'Fun': [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLdAMiCya5M]YouTube - Natalie Imbruglia - Fun - London Luminaire[/ame] What do you guys think?

  10. http://www.mtv.com/bands/r/radiohead/news_feature_061903/index.jhtml I don't really understand this qoute, does this mean he likes them I don't know. I thinks its a little odd how he never says anything good or bad about them, maybe he is a closet fan. I don't understand what him and the rest of Radiohead think about Coldplay, but I would love to find out.

I was watching some diving montage or something and they were playing "Life in Technicolor" in the background...I got all excited for a second lol, I thought it was an odd choice, but a good one nonetheless.

Hello, everybody. I'm back here again after some time. I don't know if I'm doing the right thing posting here, some people may not like it, but Coldplay fans have always been so gentle and nice that I can't imagine bad reactions. Well, a great friend of mine, Yumi, died in a landslip in January 1st in a city called Angra dos Reis, Brazil. This news appeared in lots of newspapers all around the world. She loved music, she used to play the acoustic guitar and sing like no one. Yumi was a huge fan of Coldplay and she has even made some videos covering a few songs of the band. My wish is that these videos get in Coldplay's hands. Yumi would be the happiest person ev…

  16. Maybe I'm a bit weird, but I usually check out how my favorite bands are doing on iTunes every now and then in terms of whats selling the most and other such things. To my utter surprise, I went on iTunes just now and saw that The Scientist was topping the charts of Coldplay's songs - by a significant margin. Now if there is anyone out there like me, you'll know that this song usually finds itself in the 4-7 slots in terms of popularity. Maybe more like 3-6. Regardless, I have never seen it topping the charts. For one, Clocks is always in a better position than it. I wonder if anyone has any thoughts on why this spike has occurred? Was it played on TV recently? Or…

  17. Chris Martin made Number 17!!! Here's what Piers said about him: Who is the biggest British rock star in the world in terms of current record sales? No contest- step forward Mr Martin, lead singer of the stupendously successful Coldplay. It's easy to loathe the man. He's got the hottest band, the hottest girl (Gwyneth Paltrow), more money than Iceland's banks ever had and seems a thoroughly good bloke too, from the few times I've been in the same room. All quite sickening really. But we shouldn't be too churlish here, because Coldplay are a brilliant band, flying the flag in spectacular fashion all over the world, and every morning I wake up, get in the shower, stic…

  18. Hello everybody. Before go asking the Oracle, I want to ask if anybody knows the following: Take a song like Bigger Stronger. You can actually find it on the SAFETY e.p. and in the blue room e.p. The same happens with other songs like Such A Rush, Don't Panic, among others... Does somebody knows if those recordings are all the same, or depending on the e.p. or the album the versions are different? Merci beacoup

  20. I'm working on an english project, where the assignment was to use a creative outlet to summarize Act 5 of 12th night (with different lyrics). My partner and I decided to do a version of Viva La Vida, but we need someone to sing. I'm currently recording the instrumental right now (and finishing tomorrow), but I need someone to record themselves singing to the instrumental once we're done. All you have to do is sing Viva La Vida, just with different lyrics. Someone told me to try the Coldplay section, so here I am. Credit will be given, the final project will be on YouTube for easy access to present at school, and your preferred username/name will be there. Does a…

  21. Mexico City (march 4, 2010).- Every minute of Coldplay’s stay in Mexico will be filmed by several cameras for the personal archive of the group, for a DVD or a documentary. Mat Whitecross, documentary-maker and Chris Martin’s friend from the university, said that he is getting ready cameras and equipment to have a very complete videographic memory of the “Viva La Vida Latin American Tour 2010” through the country. “They still haven’t decided if they will do a DVD or a documentary. Chris has a special love for Mexico. You don’t have idea of how much he professes his love to the Mexicans. Viva La Vida is called like that because of Frida Kahlo. Chris wants this weekend …

I hope this is news? :uhoh: Go here to watch the video: http://www.tn.com.ar/2010/03/05/espectaculos/02153241.html Coldplay: "We like playing in Argentina" The British band Coldplay played in Buenos Aires. With over ten year career and with millions of records sold worldwide, singer Chris Martin recognizes that Argentina is "one of his favorite countries. "The last time we came we played a smaller place and we said next time we come we play in a stadium," Martin told TN. He adds that "the reason why we expect so much in return here is because after playing in South America you do not want to go play anywhere else anymore because the crowd here is so incr…

  24. HE is more likely to be spotted behind the wheel of a Smart car or riding a scooter around the narrow streets of Sicily... but Jim Kerr looked right at home amid the glamour of Formula 1. The Simple Minds frontman and his band were one of the highlights of the star-studded F1 Rocks, the new festival accompanying the Singapore Grand Prix, playing a set packed with their hits as well as a taste of their new music. And Jim, 50, who now lives in Taormina in Sicily, where he runs a hotel called Villa Angela, managed to find a little bit of home in the Far East. "The venue is lovely and the history of Singapore is great," he said. "I took a walk to the marina. When you cross…
