OK, so after the recent Top 15 songs by The Beatles thread in which Mike and I put forward a youtube playlist of our top tracks as part of a drunken (on my part) challenge to him, which people voted on (and I won ), we decided that this could be done on a wider scale. Rather than a one on one battle we think it would be more interest to include a larger number of posters, probably around 5. It will not be the same 5 for every band as we will be trying to cover a range of bands to suit the majority of peoples interests. I've been listening to this band more and more. At first, I wasn't entirely impressed with the music, but the more you listen, they more you begin to like them. I've also been listening to their older stuff and it's ace. :)

I can't believe she's not here yet. With, amazing self titled album back in 2005, and the epic tripple albums "Body Talk" last year, she deserves her own thread. She's the electro-pop goddess!

Discovered this band about 4/5 years ago. I think they're superb but they aren't very well known in the UK, give them a listen :)

He is playing in Toronto on November 19th. Tickets go on sale this Saturday for $25.50 which is a good price but I can't decide if I wanna go or not. I like his music but it's general admission and I dunno if I will like that kinda show. Input please

These guys didn't have a thread, so I've gone ahead and made one. The Kinks are one of those bands that are so great yet are often overlooked by casual music listeners, except for maybe 1 or 2 mainstream hits. I think they're one of the most influencial bands in history, and Hopefully I'm not the only one on this board that listens to them!:D

So, after seeing the number of crude/hateful remarks on the YouTube page for Viva, I had to bring this up. Why do people insist on putting down others who listen to an artist that they don't like? Voicing it is okay, but anything farther than that... For instance: I don't like Justin Bieber, but I don't go around calling him or his fans gay. The whole point of music is to express yourself creatively through it. If you can't do that, then what's the point?
