I've signed up to newsletters and stuff, but still no luck. I know some bands do advertise it, like Muse did with War Child 2013, but most don't. :) Thanks for any advice.

Does it make sense to post this so far into 2013? No. But I was curious to see what people voted as the best songs of 2012. I've decided it's time to start talking about Nick Cave. This guy is amazing, i'm suprised he's not mentioned here more often, if there were more/any? Aussies here (another baffling fact! They do sell CD's down there don't they!!?? lol) we'd definitely be talking about him. For those uninitated the Cavester specializes in mostly piano ballads, but his backing band rock every once in a tune. Cave likes to sing about, among other things, gardens, trees, small towns, strangers, murderers, children buried in snow :stunned:, dead people, ghosts...oh and he uses the word Babe a lot :D

A band that literally came together from being tormented by the weather, the members of alternative prog rock band Phlox met through sleepless nights in online forums and outdoor activities. They’ve been gigging and writing songs for the past 4 years and have a 4-track EP and an album called "Quiver" that’s available for streaming on Bandcamp. Hey Coldplayers, a lot of you seem to be into psychedelic music and I thought you might wanna check out this new band Temples. They were formed by James Edward Bagshaw and Thomas Warmsley previously of indie-mod band The Moons (also really good, they did some stuff with Paul Weller). I've heard a lot of people who like Tame Impala like them, but I've never really listened to Tame Impala so I don't know. To me they fall somewhere between Revolver and Sgt.
